Good welcome, comfortable, good food

Walking to Reception passing the pond with the Wild Fowl on the lawn. A heady perfume Rose scented breeze pervades your nostrils. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. The room was basic, clean and comfortable. The Meal Deal was fantastic value. We had a delicious evening meal with a glass of wine. Breakfast was a good choice and the English Breakfast was beautifully served by James and cooked by Errol perfectly. So good to have a hot well presented Breakfast! We would definitely book here again!

Crewe Hall Hotel & Spa

A superb 17th century hotel located in Crewe in Cheshire. This Grade I listed building has been attracting refined guests since the 17th century, including our current monarch Queen Elizabeth II. This hotel is a fine mix of historic Jacobean and sharp 21st century architecture. The magnificent history oozes throughout the hotel from exquisite marble fireplaces to stained glass windows. Yet the contemporary edge of Crewe Hall can be found throughout the hotel from the revolving bar in the brasserie to the state-of-the-art leisure club. The hotel has 117 spacious, comfortable bedrooms, some are located in the historic old building but majority can be found in the new contemporary wing. Just minutes from the M6 motorway, Crewe Hall is only 24 miles from Chester’s sights and shops and close to Liverpool and Manchester.Crewe Hall is home to a modern conference and events centre. It is very impressive with both it's facilities and service that we offer you. Modern facilities, free Wi-Fi, extensive grounds and a meetings package that gives you total piece of mind, whether you’re brainstorming with the team or delivering an important message, Crewe Hall makes meetings easy.

Debbie & Mike - Excellent spa weekend

Reviewed By Legalmind29

Just returned home from having a spa weekend at this hotel, where my partner and I really enjoyed a fantastic stay. We stayed in the new section of the hotel, and our room was lovely and clean and even though our room wasn't due to be cleaned, the cleaning staff still came to our room to see if there was anything we needed. I was a bit sceptical about coming here after reading all the negative reviews after I'd booked it, but there was nothing negative about our experience at all. The treatments we had were fantastic, and the staff were very friendly and took their time with the treatments. We went for breakfast on our first morning and the lady who booked you in and took you to your table was extremely busy (sorry didn't get her name). She booked us in then went to set up a table for us, she then explained how getting your breakfast works, took out hot drinks order, then went back to book the next person in for breakfast. The hotel were clearly short staffed on this day, but credit where it's due as the staff were working very hard with smiles on their faces. We had dinner in the brasserie on both nights and the food was very nice and tasty. We would like to give a special mention to Jay who served us our meals on both evenings, he made us feel welcome and kept coming to check that we were ok. We found Jay to be very professional and friendly and nothing was too much trouble for him in making sure that we were happy, even when we'd ordered the wrong wine and didn't like what we'd ordered, Jay sorted it out. We also found Declan to be very friendly and he also took time to make us feel welcome. We will definitely be returning for another spa weekend.

Worst experience and absolute waste of bank holiday weekend

Reviewed By Scorpio2021_1

We have stayed at various golf hotels and online this seemed lovely. However on arrival and right until the end it was nothing but appalling please see below: 1 cross contamination in buffet and restaurant - all cutlery for veg and meat were mixed together 2 tea mugs were all filthy and the cloth they were placed on were all stained 3 no water stations 4 requested a fridge to place my medicine in - not provided 5 room telephone was not working, advised maintenance will sort but never happened 6 cleaning staff barged into our room twice and then apologised and then proceeded to make a huge racket and have a very high pitched conversation outside our bedroom so we did not sleep and we’re unable to relax 7 absolute waste of money and waste of our bank holiday weekend

Friendly, Cosy, Comfortable Hotel

Reviewed By Daniel H

I stayed here for 10 days and found this to be a very comfortable hotel. Very clean and the staff very warm and hospitable. Nello, the Manager ensures he and his team of staff are engaging, and friendly. The housekeeping staff also, very friendly. Notable mentions to Kim, Martyn, Simon, Paul and Carey, with special thanks to Chef Antoinette for providing a bespoke and dedicated service to guests at breakfast. Antoinette and Kim and Nello make this hotel a real gem. Breakfast and dinner set ups amazingly good. Menu: Linguine is exceptional as is the prawn cocktail, meatball Penne Pasta and Jalfrezi. The cheeseburger is a bit pathetic in presentation and taste and chips uninspiring. Otherwise, all very good and tasty.

Honest review

Stayed at the hotel for 2 nights. Never sure about leaving reviews as I feel a lot can be personal preference. Good points were lovely and clean room with nice decor, quality bed linen and pillows, nice view, great breakfast with very friendly and helpful staff, good selection and quality of food and everything cooked to order. Easy check in and really good price. Bad points room 9 had the most awful bed i have ever slept in. The mattress was awful with springs digging in . This impacted my sleep considerably and left me with horrendous neck and back ache. Second bad point is the soundproofing of the rooms. This is non existent. Could hear people next door snoring, talking , using the toilet and when people walk down the corridor they might as well be in the room with you. I am afraid these 2 bad points outweighed any of the good points and we would not return. Real shame as a lovely hotel otherwise. Reported the issue with the beds to the lady on reception and she said all rooms were due a refurb. Come on guys you have 17 rooms. 17 mattresses can be changed in a couple of days and changed over when each room is cleaned, you dont have to wait for a full refurb
