Welcome to Apple hostel located in the center of town right across the historical museum! The main attractions of town are located within walking distance, the biggest supermarket is located right across the street. Petroglyphs is within 30-40 min walking from the hostel. The hostel is clean and tidy and all the staff at the hostel always welcome all tourists from all over the world. Hiking tours are available on site as well as a range of activities including but not limited to eagle hunting shows/music performances. Airport transfer can be organized as well.
Friendly and sociable but sent to another hostel
Reviewed By CarlaSianinCairoI stayed in Apple Hostel during the World Nomad Games, and like other travellers I was actually sent to another guesthouse 5 minutes’ walk away. This didn’t bother me as I was only staying for one night and the other guesthouse was decent, but it was a bit dishonest that they didn’t explain that I wouldn’t be in the actual hostel before booking. The other guesthouse was quiet, clean and comfortable, but its staff spoke absolutely no English which was a bit inconvenient. However, the staff from Apple Hostel itself were very friendly and helpful (including over WhatsApp) and translated for me. I only passed through the real Apple Hostel for 5 minutes on arrival, but it seemed very sociable and the best place in Cholpon Ata to meet other travellers if that’s what you want. Oh and breakfast was tasty!

Our hotel with 100 seats is at the pearly shore of Lake Issyk-Kul . All 60 rooms are equipped with satellite TV, refrigerator, shower, safe, intercom and access to long distance, Internet access. Most rooms have balconies with views of the sea and mountains. In cases has saunas with swimming pools, pool tables, table tennis, fitness, self-service kitchens, massage and medical offices.
Views overlooking the parking lot and construction site next door; management is dishonest and lied to us about the room
Reviewed By Brian KWe checked in today and we are one of only two couples staying at this hotel. We asked (through our guide, who is Kyrgyz) for the best available room, since the hotel is essentially vacant. At first they showed us to a room in the first building (which was the closest to the office and the most convenient for them). However, that room had truly poor views. So we asked to stay in one of the other buildings closer to the Issyk Kul Lake. They said they could not move us because we booked a double room and the other buildings had only rooms with twin beds. We said we were OK with twin beds and yet they still didn't want to move us. After several requests, they finally agreed to move us to the next building. Guess what? It has double beds. They lied to us. Yet the views were still poor, so we asked to move to the next building, closer to the lake and hopefully with a better view. They told us that they could not, that there were no rooms available in that building, that it is already fully booked. Yet we went to dinner tonight and there is only one other couple staying here and their room is in the second building (same as ours). So another lie. We are only here for one night, so it couldn't have been a conflict with a group arriving later in the week. They have no elevators and I had to carry our luggage (two large suitcases) up three flights of stairs. Upon the last half flight of stairs, the hotel person offered to carry one of the suitcases, ostensibly to get a tip. No thanks. We were lied to by two different people at the hotel, so apparently this is a systemic problem with the management of the hotel. Look at the attached pic. That is the view from our room. Parking lot and next door construction zone. And it was an even worse view in the other building. Do not stay here. You will overpay for a room with a poor view and will be required to deal with dishonest management. There is no excuse for lying to your guests like that.

Super place....a must stay hotel
Reviewed By gauravbaggaStayed in the property for 2 nights. Rooms are beautiful but there is hardly any storage space. Water and milk for tea/coffee needs to be requested. The inhouse phone wasn't working so it became difficult to contact anyone for help. Since the hotel is next to Issy kul lake ...it overshadowed everything else

Great Location close to the Lake
Reviewed By RoamingCactusWe stayed here for a week to see the World Nomad Games and explore Cholpon-Ata. It is located a little bit away from the main road, but it is very close to the lake (5-10 minute walk). We booked a two twin bed room. The room was small but included a small fridge, hot water for tea and coffee found in the restaurant, a safe, a TV, and an attached bathroom with shower and toilet. There is a restaurant on site where you can reserve to have breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The menu varies by day and at a good price.

Great stay
Reviewed By JGDynamoWe spent a night at the Guest House Tatiyany in Cholpon Ata last August near the end of our summer in the region. The place is centrally located, modern and clean, the rooms were spacious, well appointed and quiet, the sleep we got was decent enough and the breakfast was good for what we needed first thing in the morning. The service was great, very welcoming and they did everything she could to make us comfortable and to enjoy our stay which we did.

Reviewed By MoxaBearI stayed at Panorama Hotel for 4 days. I had a private room (bathroom ensuite) and got a very good deal on it through booking.com. I had a long rectangular shaped room, simple and clean. My room had windows and doors, with ample sunlight. The hotel is mainly run by a mother and daughter who treat you like family. They are friendly, helpful and caring. They also prepare fresh breakfast for all the guests each morning. On the top floor is a pool table and a socialising space which would be nice when the hotel is busy. The city center is about a 10 minute drive from the hotel. The hotel faces a long highway and seems to be in a residential area. If wifi is a big priority for you, you might not recieve full signal in your room, but sim cards with 4G internet are so cheap in Kyrgyzstan that its easier to be connected 24x7 by mobile. The hotel offered me great value for money, so I would definitely stay here again.

Great place to laze by the lake
Reviewed By Karin LMaksat Guest House is located very close to the wonderful and miraculously clean lake Issyk-Kul. Breakfast is good, served a la carte, at any time (and we really appreciated that). Both guest houses and a small courtyard are well maintained, clean, and the owner is very friendly (also speaks very good English). Also, I really enjoyed walking in the surrounding areas - the old (yet abandoned) park is beautiful. I wish I could stay longer.
