How lucky were we to get to stay here… my partner had mentioned re staying a few times and I thought, I’ll just check and there it was, 1 room available for a mid week stay - rang and spoke with Stacey and room Millett was quickly booked. We arrive to a warm welcome by Stacey and a glass of bubbles - totally unexpected.. we were given a show of the property, it is just lovely, tons of history and felt immediately relaxed.. the room was beautiful, big bath, four poster and a view of the gardens - so very nice! Champagne was in a bucket on ice as requested which just set the scene for a lovely stay.. After dinner out in the beautiful village, we returned and enjoyed a drink from the honesty bar in the sitting room in front of a log fire - loved it.. Breakfast next day was fantastic, plenty of choice and delicious- we forgot to fill out the breakfast card the night before, and remembered at 05.30 in the morning! Not a problem.. staff were super friendly and a delight. Stacey was fantastic throughout and made this all possible so a huge thanks for all your help. We will definitely be returning and hope to be back soon!!

The Lygon Arms

Imagine a hotel where roaring log-burning open fireplaces hint at its roots dating from the 1300's, with a vaulted ceiling and original wood panelling built in the seventeenth century. Visit a hotel that has been coloured by the characters of history. At The Lygon Arms, with its 86 rooms you can stay in the suite that King Charles I once stayed in the night before the Battles of Worcester in 1651. See the carvings of John Travis' name on the arch of the front door, etched into the hotel's history in 1620. An historic hotel in the heart of Broadway with a typically Cotswolds history. Dine in Bar & Grill or the Wine Bar, or enjoy a coffee or a Cotswold Gin and Tonic in one of our many lounges. A spa , swimming pool and The Lygon Gardens await you but most importantly the team look forward to welcoming you. .

The Lygon Arms is the most beautiful place we’ve ever stayed. Nestled in the centre of Broadway, a gorgeous Cotswolds town, it is a jewel of British heritage. I booked this weekend as a gift to my partner, but instead he surprised me by asking for my hand in marriage! The staff went over and above to make out special weekend perfect. It has been a truly unforgettable stay!

Buckland Manor

One of the most elegant country house hotels in the Cotswolds, Buckland Manor is tucked away in a tranquil corner of the village of Buckland, next to the old village church. Set in 10 acres of grounds, which blend seamlessly into the village, the beautiful manor house is unmarked by the passing of time; it is an idyllic setting from which to enjoy an exceptionally warm welcome, tantalising menus lovingly crafted from the ‘market garden of England’ and breath-taking Cotswold scenery. Buckland Manor truly encapsulates the feeling of being at the home of a friend. A very good friend who produces afternoon tea on request, fine aperitifs before dinner, suggests the perfect wines and doesn't mind how late you get up before serving a hearty breakfast. We kindly advise that Buckland Manor offers quality time for family and friends, where staying and dining is a more adult affair, so we ask that children are aged ten years and over.

Wonderful visit to the Cotswolds

A truly special and wonderful refuge with an amazing staff that go way out of their way to be helpful--particularly in times of need and travel complication. Many thanks to Sue, Anya and all the front desk staff. We had challenges on the visit, from lost airline luggage to a potential emergency visit to a local dentist. Anya, Sue and the staff could not have been more concerned or helpful in working through to good solutions. Buckland Manor will always be our favorite home away from home in the UK.

Unhygienic and rude staff

Reviewed By jamessimmons31

We stopped by for a quick round of beers on a lovely sunny afternoon. Unfortunately it was plainly obvious that the the beer line pipes hadn’t been cleaned properly which left the lagers tasting like astringent - absolutely vile. Furthermore upon raising this with the barman we were told that despite the four of us raising the same issue they wouldn’t provide a refund. £20+ literally down the drain. Hygiene practises and attitude in this pub are both in dire need of an adjustment; far better establishments right around the corner.

Very nice room but lacking a few things

Reviewed By V6937ITrobertn

We stayed for 5 nights in May 2022 in room #3, a large room with king bed. The room was decent but some of the furniture could be newer. One of the two parlor chairs was definitely in need of replacement. There was ample storage between an excellent armoire and several smaller endtables. There was a very small desk in the room. The shower wasn't too bad though the water temperature varied at times. They could really use a few handtowel rings so that you'd have a place for that, given the lack of counter space. Very good sinks (2). The decor was very nice. The bed was somewhat uncomfortable and bouncy. The provided breakfast was very good though the hours for it are quite limited (8:30 to 10). No elevator so you have to haul bags up a flight of stairs for this room. All in all, a nice place to stay and close to the center of the village but could have a few nicer amenities.

The Fish Hotel

This is a new kind of country hotel. We're affordable but not budget, stylish but not pretentious, and outdoorsy but just as happy to stay in and put our feet up by the fire. With 400 acres of spectacular private estate countryside on our doorstep, and all the glories of the Cotswolds within easy reach, The Fish is your back-to-nature bolt-hole with a little touch of luxury.

Blown away

We have just celebrated my wife's 60th at The Fish with a group of 30 friends and family. From our first experience with Megan who handled the group booking, arrangements, menu and room allocations and just about every other matter to our celebratory stay and coordination on the night and following day by Robin , Mariette and Greg we were all blown away. The professionalism of the staff, the taste of the food, the service at every level, the decor, the attention to all our whims was of the greatest level possible. We are not an easy crowd to please and I did not hear one complaint just sighs of pleasure , smiles of enjoyment and happiness . Thank you so much for making this the most special of occasions.

Located in the Heart of the Cotswolds The Dormy is a much-loved country-house hotel with luxury spa. The converted 17th century farmhouse is steeped in tradition, with oak-panelled bars, roaring log fires and three restaurants. Visitors are perfectly placed for the Regency terraces of Cheltenham, the theatre of Stratford-upon-Avon and some of the prettiest gardens and villages of the Cotswolds.

Another excellent stay for us at Dormy but on this occasion we left feeling a little disappointed that we couldn't use the facilities in the spa / pool area due to the increasing amount of people now being admitted despite us pre booking our slots Apart from that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay (as always) and hope to return soon.
