A pleasant stay at a friendly place :)

Reviewed By Myo M

A two-storied place with its front yard a small lovely garden, the "best part" of staying at this place was just being with its absolutely wonderful & friendly staff members whose smiles really made my stay here a "quite pleasant" one (and thank you Josie for calling an uber for me on my day of departure). And also on the plus side were a fairly-filling breakfast (somewhat more than just a basic one), a nice-sized 4-bed dorm room where I stayed (with a "good enough space" between the two bunk beds unlike at some other places I stayed where that space was almost negligible), and actually also this one room on the first floor "like a living room of a house" with comfortable sofa chairs & also a big-screen TV (for somewhat of a feeling of being at home I would say & just a nice spot to relax at the end of the sightseeing day). Also great is the convenience of the place where just in a walking distance of 5 to 10 minutes (a right turn after coming out followed by a left turn onto the first street which is Rua Gen. Lima e Silva) are a "quite sizeable" supermarket, plenty of restaurants (with a nice buffet restaurant among them although it may only be for daytime) & a laundry (either self-service or done by them). And also nearby at a walk of 5 minutes or so (to the right after coming out and just straight to the end of the street in front of this place) is Parque Farroupilha which is just a medium-sized park but not a bad place to hang out with a nice-sized lake on its west side (just the side straight from this place) & two reflecting pools in the middle of the park.

Good location downtown

Reviewed By Luisguiper

I liked: One great thing, the staff was friendly, in general. The building, appropriately located downtown, is interesting due to its architecture. Several attractions in the historic area are found at walking distance. The room I got was located in the second floor (no elevator available). The room was large enough to be comfortable, though the bed was a single one; it was ok. Bed sheets and towels were clean, so was the bathroom. A minibar and air conditioned available. There were a table and a seat that were good for writing, reading, etc. Since it was an interior room, it was good to avoid the noise of the street, though the days I was hosted the traffic was light due to a long holiday weekend. The WI-FI signal worked well most of the time. On another hand, breakfast was very good, though not too varied. I did not like: Front door was always closed, I had to wait until someone opened it when I got back to the hotel. Few tv channels, all in Portuguese language, few shows worth of watching.

We been going on Xmas break in Brazil for the last 10 years and this is one of the nicest place we’ve stayed. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The place has its own parking lot which is a welcomed plus. The surroundings do not do justice to the hotel but if you just need to rest and enjoy breakfast and be on your way then this is the spot. The bed was very comfortable with air conditioner and a ceiling fan .....

Stayed here for 4 nights during world cup. We had a wonderful time everyone was friendly and welcoming. Shout out to Paulo!!! for running and getting us a taxi across the road after our world cup game when we couldn't find one. They even offered to change us to a private room when 15 Argentina guys showed up on our last two nights. Very kind. Thanks for the great stay!
