Lovely stables and staff, and happy horses. We came for my niece's 9th Birthday in the winter and the instructor was brilliant, clearly very passionate about keeping his riders safe. I was impressed the children learned how to groom after their riding session on that occasion. Today we came back as part of our 2020-staycation and it was just an unforgettable experience. Would recommend for something different this summer. Very cool place !

Bantry Pony Trekking

We have a large selection of horses and ponies to suit all ages and abilities. Beginners are especially welcome and our carefully selected Irish Cobs are sure to give you a safe pleasant introduction to riding and the Irish countryside. Groups are kept small and are fully escorted and supervised at all times. The private trails are around the farm and up to the summit of Mullaghmesha, where, 580m above sea level, the views are breathtaking and cover a vast area of the West Cork coastline, (on a clear day, and barely your mounts ears in a good Celtic mist). Rides commence with an assessment form, then fitting with helmets, body protectors and riding boots, provided by us, before you meet your horse and head for the hills! - well maybe not quite so fast!

Clonshire Equestrian Centre

Equestrian centre offering riding for all ages and abilities. Full disabled facilities. Accommodation available on site either self catering or full board. Unaccompanied childrens holidays. 120 acre parkland cross country course, two indoor arenas, extra large outdoor arena.

Horses for every riding ability and lessons targeted according to experience. Fantastic huge indoor arena and true all weather outdoor arenas. It's possible to stay here during some parts of the year but the rooms are a bit minimalist and they usually are for young horse camp students during the summer months. I did have lunch a few times in their lodging house. It is family style and delicious -- cooks choice. I stayed in town at the Dunraven Inn and took and cab each day to and from the stables. It's a pretty nice older hotel.
