We had booked a car with driver for 10 days from Osh to Bishkek (November 2019). When arranging our itinerary, Talant was very responsive to our emails, allowing for us to set up our trip with ease. Kuba was our driver and his friend, Muha, was there to help should we have any issues with snow covered roads in the Pamir Highway. We had the most remarkable tour with Kuba, who is not only an excellent driver but also speaks good English and has thorough knowledge of the region. During the trip, I unfortunately fell terribly ill, but Kuba went out of his way to drive me through the night (10 hours!) to the nearest hospital and acted as my translator/guide while I was being medically treated. After I recovered, he even took us back to where we had abruptly left the trip without any extra charge for himself. At every instance, we felt that Kuba and Muha truly cared about us and did their best to ensure that we had a memorable time. The trip itself, which not only included driving along the main Pamir Highway but also off-roading in eastern Tajikistan, was met with breath-taking views of the Pamir Mountains, immaculate lakes and beautiful pastures. Also, all homestays arranged for us were comfortable and the hosts were very welcoming. I would highly recommend using Visit Alay tours and having Kuba as their driver to anyone wanting an adventure of a lifetime – they will definitely deliver!

The most popular of all the jeep routes in Tajikistan is the Pamir Highway M41, equally be loved of cyclists (at least on the downhill stretches). Highlights of the road, which demands ten days of your time to see it in full, include the cosmopolitan town of Khorog with its suspension bridges, Afghan market, botanical garden and parks; ruby mines and naturally hot spring baths; groves of fruit trees amidst a patchwork of irrigated fields; and the stark and isolated, yet unforgettably beautiful, Murghab Plateau, where only nomads roam. The Pamir Highway grants visitors access to the Tajkistan National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, to the wildlife and ancient archaeological remains of the Wakhan Corridor, and ultimately to neighbouring Kyrgyzstan and Afghanistan. In a single day you can wind your way through high-altitude deserts, empty plains, and lush green meadows, frequently scattered with wildflowers.

Date of tour: September 2019. Booking process: Booking the tour was very easy. Alovaddin answered all my questions quickly, suggested an itinerary and adjusted it to suit our start/end points and flight times. Excellent service. Arrival and departure: Our guide( Zikriyo), and our driver (Sher) met us at the Uzbekistan border as planned. Easy to organise. At the end of the trip they took us to the airport at 4am. We were more than happy to get a taxi, but they insisted on driving us. Sums up their attitude throughout. Thanks Zikriyo and Sher. Tour: Superb tour. Our guide and driver were excellent. Our guide spoke good English, was very knowledgable and made the trip fun. We enjoyed talking to him about Tajikistan, its history, his life and family. Our trip included Penjikent, Shing Valley (7 lakes), Noffin, Marghib, Pskan (Yagnob valley), Saratog (Iskanderkul) and Dushanbe. A particular highlight was the short walk and overnight homestay in Pskan. The homestays and guesthouses were all comfortable, the food was good and plentiful. The length of travelling on each day was well planned. We had plenty of time to explore on the way and at the evening destination. It wasn't rushed so we could get the most of our trip, whether it was a bit of hiking, meeting the locals, or just relaxing as the sun set. Overall we had a wonderful trip, that showed off some of the best countryside that Tajikistan has to offer. Highly recommended. Thanks Alovaddin, Zikriyo and Sher!

Many people know more about the surface of the moon more than about Tajikistan, a small jewel of a country perched between Afghanistan and China. Foreigners rarely visited it, except with the official invitation and under strict supervision. Even after the fall of the USSR in 1991, few outsiders visited beyond aid workers and journalists because of the civil war that made parts of the country insecure into the late 90s. Now Tajikistan is an independent country where peace has found it place among the nation. There are many chances for travelers to visit and discover the country that, even now, is not known to millions of people. This tour is a guaranteed departure, so even if you are the only one booked onto this tour, you will still be guaranteed to depart!

A great way to get a first impression of the city Traveling in the bus is comfortable and with the audio guide in different languages it offers a good opportunity to learn something about Tashkent. The start of the bus tour is at the famous Hotel Uzbekistan, Tashkent's first hotel, located on Amir Timur Square. The end of the tour is there again. You can get the tickets for the bus tour at the Hotel Uzbekistan. The tour stops at various places, such as the Minor Mosque or the old city district, where you have some time to watch the place and the buildings. There are also many sights you just drive by, such as the earthquake memorial. So you have the opportunity to get a first impression of the city and then visit some of the sights again with more time. 9. From Dushanbe to Wakhan Corridor - 7 days, ALL INCLUSIVE

Bunyod-Tour Travel Company

The Wakhan valley is located between in south-west of Tajikistan in Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Province and north-east of Afghanistan. It contains the headwaters of the Amu Darya River, and was an ancient corridor for travelers from the Tarim Basin to Badakshan. An 1873 agreement between UK and Russia split the Wakhan by delimiting spheres of influence for the two countries at the Pyanj and Pamir rivers, and an agreement between Britain and Afghanistan in 1893 confirmed the new border. The Wakhan is connected to Tashkurgan Tajik County, China, by a long, narrow strip called the Wakhan Corridor, which separates the Gorno-Badakhshan region of Tajikistan from the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan of Pakistan. Historically the Wakhan has been an important region for thousands of years as it is where the Western and Eastern portions of Central Asia meet.
