A pleasant way of travelling differently and sustainably! Perfect to gather families and friends who live away from each other and for schools to complement their teaching, as well as to help those who cannot travel for many reasons, to keep seeing the world. Come walk with me up and down the hills of Lisbon, discovering the old wonders of this ancient city, through the historic districts of Baixa, Alfama and Chiado. I walk and talk while you sit, enjoy and start your planning :) I'll even take you on a tram ride: the famous 28 route! Delight our eyes with fantastic views points and some traditional pastries. I'll make the effort on this last part, don't worry :) During 1h approx you'll get many tips to start organising your trip to discover my city and meet me in person soon :). It's gonna be fun! Ancient Lisbon will be revealed as an old fairytale book, waiting for you to turn each page calmly. Are you ready?

This tour is a must for any visitors to the Lisbon area. Our guide, Tania, was amazing. She was so welcoming and knowledgeable and made sure we had the best day possible. Due to Covid-19 restrictions there were only 4 of us on the tour - myself and my sister and another couple (who were also absolutely lovely and we became friends). Sintra and Cascais are so beautiful and the tour allowed us ample time to explore both areas. Tania gave us great tips on the best photo opportunity spots and also on the best places to eat. The area was very quiet compared to pre-Covid times, but it was really nice to see Sintra, the palace and surrounding area without hordes of tourists - no queues. We wore our masks at all times so everyone felt safe from a Covid point of view. I cannot fault the service and the tour. Great value and amazing to see these places with so few tourists about. One of the most beautiful areas I have ever seen. It is quite hilly so be prepared for some walking - but you can always get a lift up to the palace grounds if you have limited mobility, so don't let that put you off.

Just got back from our visit to Portugal. 5 of us in our party, and friends celebrating a 50th birthday for a long weekend. First time in Portugal, so wanted to get the most of our time and see as much as possible. Joao our Tour Guide was amazing. He really made our tours and appreciate his efforts during the two days with him. Was very informative and quite patient with all of us (and questions) during our travels. Day one was really spent seeing the region outside of Lisbon, but close enough that you were not in a van for the full-day. Visiting Sintra and Cascais was a nice way to start and Joao's suggestions and things to see and places to eat were always appreciated. The day ended back in Lisbon, where we got to see several things we did not on our first day and ended at Dois Corvos for a few beers, great selections, and knowledgeable staff. Day 2 was going out visiting the wine regions. The most impressive was Jose Maria da Fonseca. The guide was quite engaging, the history was quite impressive, and the wines selected were quite good. Also, nice little town they are located in, so even stopping for a quick bite before going in was a nice choice. Overall, we all were quite happy with the service of Portuguese For a Day, and would highly recommend you asking for Joao!

We had an incredible day trip to Sintra with our friendly and very knowledgeable guide André Feldman. We were fortunate to see everything included and more than expected. By the end of the tour, we felt like a family on a day trip! I simply cannot recommend this tour highly enough and no words can express our satisfaction overall with André and his comedic yet impressive and knowledgeable approach to the tour. If I could, I would give 10 stars!
