Our group of 3 took on The Dungeon of Doom. Great concept and plenty of tricky puzzles to keep you busy. Our games host was brilliant and provided hints when we needed them (which you do need in this game, especially if you've only got 3 players). We will be back to try out some of the other rooms.

My friends and I returned to do Down the Rabbit hole and Scarlett after visiting several times before and, like always, we found the rooms to be super fun and exciting (we escaped both), challenging everyone in our group. Our Gamemaster, Harriette, was professional and highly useful, especially when we needed a hint in the rabbit hole. All in all we had a brilliant evening, thanks to the whole team ♥️

We love coming to Coombe Abbey, it is for sure one of our favourite outdoor places in the area. We’ve been coming here for years since we moved to the area. Our kids love to scooter here, all of the pathways are flat & accessible. They also love to; generally run around & explore, climb trees, go digging in the loose soil, watch the bunnies & sheep at the fields at the back, feed the ducks/geese/swans/pigeons, play stick or pinecone races in the streams. There are two play areas, the first by the visitor centre is mainly aimed at younger children, so we tend to head to the one at the back of the park near the ‘top pool’ which has bigger equipment at it. In good weather, there are plenty of open spaces to sit on a blanket to have a picnic etc. You could also happily play games such as kicking a ball around, rounders, frisbee etc. If you’re wanting to spend a bit more money, the recently opened Go Ape climbing centre is good too, but I’ll review that separately. When the visitor centre is open, the shop is lovely with lots of different outdoor toys for kids to enjoy, alongside general gift items, all at reasonable prices too. They also have other units in there supporting local craftsmen too which is really good to be supporting small local business. The food at the cafe is also good, when it is open. Definitely recommend to anyone ????????

St. Mary's Guildhall

St. Mary's Guildhall is one of the finest surviving medieval guildhalls in England, and has been one of Coventry's premier historic venues for more than 600 years. First built in the 1340s for the merchant guild of St. Mary, with its magnificent medieval interiors, and fine artworks the Guildhall offers a window into Coventry's glorious past. Once a prison to Mary, Queen of Scots, and even a playhouse where Shakespeare is thought to have performed, the Guildhall provides a fascinating free experience for all ages, at the historic heart of the city. St. Mary's Guildhall also offers a memorable venue for weddings, meetings, conferences and private functions, whilst in the vaulted undercroft beneath the Great Hall is the atmospheric Godiva's cafe, offering tasty, good value snacks and refreshments.

Always a fabulous place to visit if you like history & beautiful old buildings. With a tapestry older than those at Hampton Court, full of wonderful details so that nearly all the characters can be identified by name, we were enthralled for over an hour by a local historian who brought the place to life, specially the tapestry. I've been several times before but have never learnt so much. My friend is elderly but no problem, she rode up on a 'chair lift' type platform. You do need to call in advance to make sure someone who can work it is gong to be there. There is an undercroft resteraunt on site but unfortunately I can't recommend it!

Brandon Marsh Nature Centre is the headquarters of the Warwickshire Wildlife Trust. Set in 220 acres, the Reserve, consists of large pools created by gravel extraction. Around the Centre you'll find the orchard, mouse maze, mini-beast homes, bird watching hides, recycled garden and a newly designed sensory garden (link to sensory garden project page) as well as an under-cover picnic area. Then it's off to the Onyx Nature Trail which guides you around the wildlife habitats of the nature reserve. The Reserve This reserve contains large areas of pools created by gravel extraction. It consists of reedbeds, willow carr, grassland and woodland. It is outstanding for birds and there are seven bird hides throughout the reserve. Gift Shop and Badgers Tearoom At the end of your visit what could be nicer than a cup of tea or snack in our 'Badgers' Tea Room and a leisurely browse around our gift shop. The shop is well stocked with animal homes, bird seed, bird feeders and an extensive range of gifts and books. The tearoom serves a variety of hot and cold beverages, fresh cakes, and a comprehensive menu of snacks and meals. The Education Centre Brandon Marsh Nature Centre includes the Lafarge Education Centre - a purpose-built classroom, home to School Visits to Brandon for a variety of curriculum-related activities. We also have children's activities during the school holidays, and even Really Wild Birthday Parties! For grown-ups we also have a programme of Events and guided walks. The Sensory Garden After 1500 volunteer hours, the first chapter in the story of how our garden grew is complete with the official opening of the Sensory Garden at Brandon Marsh Visitor Centre on 19th May 2012.

Although the hides are not open at the moment (COVID), there are plenty of opportunities to spot some interesting birds - shovellers, long-tailed tits, siskins etc... I also saw a deer in the woodland on my last visit. There is a walking trail for children to follow as well as a gift shop. The cafe was open for hot drinks and cakes to be consumed outside. A lovely place and I look forward to my next visit.
