The 10 Best Health/Fitness Clubs & Gyms in Tokyo, Kanto

May 21, 2021 Merry Kessler

Tradition collides with pop culture in Tokyo, where you can reverently wander ancient temples before rocking out at a karaoke bar. Wake up before the sun to catch the lively fish auction at the Tsukiji Market, then refresh with a walk beneath the cherry blossom trees that line the Sumida River. Spend some time in the beautiful East Gardens of the Imperial Palace, then brush up on your Japanese history at the Edo-Tokyo Museum. Don’t forget to eat as much sushi, udon noodles, and wagashi (Japanese sweets) as your belly can handle.

Visited after Baseball Game at Toyko Dome. It was a large facility with room for a lot of people. I can’t give an idea of the number of people there as there are so many rooms across several floors. The lower floor has the restaurant, ladies only resting room and before 10pm and left about 12.30am. We wanted to have a 15 minute cleaning session but the earliest time available was 1.40am. You got to pick from four, the style of relaxing clothes you wear. An authenticate experience, very popular with Japanese. No tattoos or clothing allowed. You really don’t think about it after your first bath. There were mineral baths, footbath, oxygen bath, cold bath, mist and tornado showers, sauna, steam room and others. You could easily spend the the entire day here. A special treat to finish off my Japan experience surrounded by peaceful Japanese ladies.
