Rooted in a desire to showcase the abundant and talented artists emerging in Ireland today, Jam Art Factory first opened it's doors on Patrick Street, in the heart of Dublin's historic Liberties in 2011. Since then, this independant gallery and design shop has been showcasing smart, contemporary Irish art to a growing band of avid fans. Our handpicked artists fill the gallery with fresh concepts in print, using both traditional and contemporary techniques. We have ceramics, textiles, jewellery and street art in strange and wonderful forms, always working with the artists to create exciting new designs. In 2013, brothers Mark and John opened a second location in the lively surrounds of Crown Alley in Temple Bar, and today, Jam Art Factory ships prints all over the world, providing a platform for independent artists to exhibit their work and solving all your home and gift dilemmas.

I went to this shop on the recommendation of Tripadvisor and I could not have been more pleased. Tucked into a Victorian shopping center in the Grafton St. area, the shop has lots of space and light for really enjoying the fine colors and wools. They have a good selection of Irish-milled wools, and I chose two colors from their in-house brand, which the daughter of the mother-daughter staff team dyes herself. We had a nice lunch downstairs in the shopping center, and they were kind enough to wind the wool for me while we ate. Lovely shop, and if I lived in Dublin I'd try to convince them to hold knitting evenings for sure! (If they don't already.) Tip: They are open on Sundays in the Fall and Winter--check their hours for your visit.

Thanks to all at jerpoint glass for opening up especially on Sunday for an amusing afternoon. We watched the master at work who produced a beautiful vase and then we got to blow some glass ourselves with various degrees of success! Good fun. Their shop shows the incredible talent the whole family have from wood turning to craft work. Really interesting place and fantastic to see such small Irish company doing so well.

Even though it may be a Waterstones that keeps its original name , this temple to the printed word is a great place to spend time soaking in the atmosphere. Only a block from Trinity, accross the street from a Tower Records, and near all the great places to eat on Dawson street- it is wonderful. Great section of book re: Ireland.

We as a family have been visiting kildare farm foods for years, we love the fresh produce, you are always guaranteed great bargains in the shop, the staff are always friendly & most helpful, the kids love visiting the farm, feeding the animals, having a ride on the train & the crazy golf is brilliant & after all the excitement you can relax in the cafe & enjoy some delicious foods from the cafe, I highly recommend a visit you wont be disappointed

Great selection of Irish fun and arty design stuff. Posters, cards, jewellry, whatnots...oh and Duffy's Bookbinders notebooks. Great place .... other branch on Patrick Street.

Sweny's Pharmacy is featured in James Joyce's Ulysses. My first morning and last evening in Dublin were both spent at Sweny's, reading with the group. The highlight of my entire stay. This is truly the city's most evocative and vibrant Joyce shrine. You sit and read with Joyce acolytes, the curious and ghosts. The room feels haunted--think of those, including the clean-shaven Joyce, still relatively a young man--who walked in through these doors and stood in the same interior which retains most of its original décor. All thanks are due to the charismatic P.J. Murphy (he's read Ulysses 59 times!) and his complete dedication to the place. Such people are rare these days. We need to ensure Sweny's stays alive and well!

Just had my second visit to Bevel woodworking school. I made the bird house on my first visit and this weekend was spent making the Adirondack chair. Tommy is a fantastic teacher and very patient. The other participants were lovely, such a peaceful environment and happy atmosphere to spend quality time in. The bird house and the chair turned out amazing I'm delighted to say the least. I came straight home and booked my next visit to try the wood spirit and my brother was so impressed he's coming with me. Pauline Byrne

We are a unique brewing academy that offers beer making experiences. Each one lasts 3 hours . Ours is a hands on experience. We take a bag of grain and turn it into beer, and you are with us all the way. Come and taste some of the amazing craft beers that we have produced . And when you're done, we are situated only blocks away from the world famous Guinness brewery, Pearse Lyons Distillery, Roe Distillery, Teelings Distillery, and The Brazen Head, one of the oldest pubs in all of Ireland.

Worked There for a while and had The best time of my stay in Dublin. The staff is really warm and they make you Feel very welcomed, like home. Don, the owner , is the friendliest guy ever, always making sure you are feeling comfortable and concerned that you are having the best experience. My Co-worker at the time, Liam, with wich i was always having a blast , is the nicest guy ever. He was always trying to make you have fun, and was very warm and knowledgable. The beer was amazing with Lots of different styles and experiments. The designs for the labels are so creative and diverse. Anyways, i can not recommend these guys enough, it is a most do if you are in Dublín. You will surely make a friend there. Your friend from mexico, chicharito.
