The 10 Best Gay Clubs & Bars in London, England

April 16, 2022 Tambra Mccollister

The crown jewels, Buckingham Palace, Camden Market…in London, history collides with art, fashion, food, and good British ale. A perfect day is different for everyone: culture aficionados shouldn't miss the Tate Modern and the Royal Opera House. If you love fashion, Oxford Street has shopping galore. For foodies, cream tea at Harrod’s or crispy fish from a proper chippy offers classic London flavor. Music and book buffs will love seeing Abbey Road and the Sherlock Holmes Museum (at 221B Baker Street, of course).

Saw the annual pantomime; Pinocchio. Excellent adult entertainment nicely judged for a LGBT audience. Great performances from everyone and a wonderful Dame who had some elements of Evadne Hinge about her. Throughly recommended The space has been converted well though the train noises can be intrusive at times. Have already booked for another show there.

Comptons of Soho

In the Heart of Soho, the Grand Dame of Soho has been serving the gay community for decades. A beautiful pub with a great atmosphere, Comptons of Soho is the perfect place to go alone or with friends and enjoy the great vibe of Gay Soho!

This past weekend I made a visit into soho, just to witness how things in my favourite part of London had changed since reopening. One location that seems to have adapted to the new requirements perfectly, is Comptons of Soho. Easily one of my favourite LGBT bars in central, the new system was effective and although different to before, doesn’t feel at all restricted. The door staff are efficient and welcoming, the table to table waiters are as charming and hardworking as ever, and the whole experience was smooth and therefore enjoyable. Within minutes of my party being sat down, my order was taken and drinks on the way. This speed continued right into the evening and the staff maintained a smile throughout. (Also, all in all, they are mostly really quite attractive, which is of course an added bonus!). The pub feels clean and covid safe, without being at all cold or clinical. I am beyond impressed by how the management and team has responded to the recent developments and will 100% be returning soon! Keep it up guys✨????

One of the best venues in London to see quality Drag Shows where the drags actually sing, the staff is friendly -my sexy namesake Jack from Barcelona is a sweetheart- and the atmosphere is marvellous, specially when at the show times. I've been there several times and I would recommend it to my friends.
