We went there on a wednesday under the impresion we would see a drag show. However as we arrived and saw the bar with few people we knew something was wrong. The shows start on thursday all through the weekend. However this did not make our experience any different. As we were greeted by the owner with a big smile, we went in the bar and a friendly bartender offered us drinks and peanuts. It was actually refreshing to be able to sit at a bar and talk for a bit while having drinks and we even could play the music we wanted. We went back the night after to see this so talked about show. We got there early as we were advised by the bartender the night before. Around 9:30pm crowds of both tourists and locals began arriving to get a spot for the show. Around 11pm the bar was packed, not a soul more. The ladyboys went on stage and the crowd went crazy for their performances. Definitely a place to visit, if not for the show, for a safe relax place for the community to drink and chat.

Certainly one of the friendliest bar in Phnom Penh. the owners are there, take care and entertain together with their hosts. Offer is good and special cocktail promos are available. Oh, and if you need a haircut, you can do it right there with your Martini in your hand. One point I suggest to look into is to fix the toilets; but that is the only thing ;-) . The smiling and joking staff are the key of this brand to make a night unforgettable! A night to start, or a night to end, its always busy! - Back soon!

I am a tour leader who often visits Siem Reap and often take my groups to see the show at Barcode. The show and the friendly staff always make for a special night out. My groups are made up mostly by straight people and they feel comfortable in this welcoming safe space. Often my group talk of this night as their favorite in the whole tour through Indochina! They also make a delicious espresso martini and it's such a sophisticated contrast to the crowded and brash pub street.

So where barcode, was just drag queens or Lady boys as they call them here, heaven and dream boys put on shows with both male dancers and lady boys. You can see the male dancers spent hours and hours and hours honing their craft as they look like they would be back up dancers to any big star- all perfectly in sync always smiling always having the time of their lives very entertaining. And the Lady boys very professionally done very enjoyable. We were here on a slow night with maybe 25 people in a place that holds probably well over 100, but we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The shows continued almost nonstop from 9:45 in the evening until we left at 12:10 in the morning. Everybody received several very well-deserved gratuities from all the guests. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves here, wish we had something like it back home. Thank you Heaven & Dream boys for a wonderful visit in your wonderful town!
