Escape At The Works

The Works is proud to present a series of three thrilling escape rooms designed to test your mental agility, bring your team closer together and have some great laughs!

Made it out of the Harry Potter room with almost 5 minutes to spare! This is my 3rd ‘escape room’ experience (at different venues) and I really enjoyed it! Such a great little design. I was told we needed less than average amount of clues, true or not, I’m taking it, ha! It’s not the conventional concept as the door was actually open the whole time (great for those who are nervous about being locked in, and also doesn’t effect the excitement of the game, you’ll see) We would’ve definitely had liked a pencil and piece of plain paper to be provided to jot down ideas as we kept forgetting numbers and letters that we needed. I’d say the other escape rooms I’ve done are aimed at more 12+ age.... but, because of the design, this really could be enjoyable for 6+ (with lots of adult help) Highly recommend, we really laughed about it for ages afterwards. looking forward to having a go at others. Many thanks /*

Staff are always friendly here and ask if you enjoyed the film and what you are going to see etc. I have always had a very positive experience here and my husband and I ensure that we watch all new films here. The screens are great and I love the size of the big screen with the box. All in all - a great cinema with wonderful staff.

Parking took a while but worth it! Went with family including ages from 6 upwards, 5 people in all, and it was brilliant for everyone. Well staffed and trampolines were well monitored. Very busy but still lots to do really safely. Refreshments available and seating. Would certainly recommend!

Playtrain

Childrens Activity Centre designed for children under 9, fabulous cafe, softplay with role play area cars and toys. Snipz hair salon for children and Wise Owl Education - tutoring in English and Maths for 3-11 year olds.

My family and I have recently travelled the UK for 3 months (our little adventure whilst the girls are young) and I can categorically state that PLAYTRAIN is the best in my opinion. They serve the best healthy options than any other soft play, the attention to detail in the toys, activities and ceiling (just look up!) being educational is superb. Clean toilets, clean tables, friendly and accommodating chef, wi-fi all equals happy kids which in turn equals happy parents, right? :-) The icing on the cake is the entrance has fish and a gerbil to look at, and a shop that sells educational toys/books and not expensively. I have had lovely chats with the owner, she has put a lot of thought and love into creating this business.

I'll be back, I came to watch Rise of Skywalker in Screen 8. The seats were comfy, the popcorn warm, the staff friendly and really it was a pleasant experience watching a film here. I'll definitely return and the price was OK too. £9 for an adult compared to the £10+ Cineworld have.
