A traditional pub serving an ever changing range of up to 12 real ales featuring beers from Oakham Ales, Grainstore Brewery and many other micro breweries. It is not just about the ales as you can enjoy a glass of fine wine from our independent wine merchant, lovely to sup in our sunny courtyard garden or sample from a selection of gins and malt whiskies.

Rugby Tap

Real Ale a speciality with a focus on the best of what's produced on our doorstep (30 miles) served in the Micropub direct from the cask. Adjacent bottle shop with a lot of Local Ales, Draught take-home and plenty of Ciders, German, Belgian, Local gins...

Popped into the rugby tap one evening last week, and this was our 2nd visit. Most enjoyable visit. Great selection of real ales, lovely friendly relaxed atmosphere. Really good live music too making this my new most favourite chill out pub. It’s no frills. There are no machines, no TVs, not even a great big all singing till. Just beer, wine, crisps, traditional games, and a warm welcome. What more do you need from a pub?
