I had the best experience with Azores lovers. I recently ordered from their website, since all the stores are closed due to the Corona Virus, and I was able to order gifts for my boyfriend's birthday and for Mother's Day for my Mom and Mother in Law. From the experience of shopping on their website, which was seamless and very easy, with live chat support which made it even easier to shop and they clarified any questions I had, to the experience of receiving the gifts at home, delivered personally from them, all excellent. The service was fantastic, the gifts came beautifully wrapped and with personalized messages on each of them, and the gifts themselves were very high quality and very unique, with great prices. Absolutely loved shopping from Azores lovers, they made the birthday and Mother's day even more special for our family here in the Sao Miguel. I will definitively order again! Thank you!

Be Nature is a great store owned by the friendly, helpful and kind Atef. I have traveled all over the world and I was so happy to find Be Nature in Ponta Delgada. Atef offers great products for a very reasonable prices. He treats you with respect and is so helpful. He has great knowledge about all his products. I have found the best soap that I have ever used in this small store in the Azores. Who would have thought. My wife bought a lovely purse for a very reasonable price. He has ceramics, spices, soap, clothes and many gifts. It was a great surprise to find the products of Tunisia in the capital of Sao Miguel. If you go to Ponta Delgada, stop in and say hello to Atef.

An easy walk to this lovely old church from the port. We were to go on a free walking tour from near here but they didn't show up so we visited the church. The outside was plain but lovely inside, in the distinctive Portuguese style. You can walk up to the Botanic Gardens E1 for seniors and the Sant Ana Palace in the Park from here and also the very interesting Fort Sao Bras and Military Museum. Pick up a map as you leave the ship, ask them to mark the highlights and walk the narrow streets of lovely Ponta Delgada. The Sol Mar supermarket is across the street from the port, cheap water, beer and wine in Litre cartons, easy to carry back on the ship.

This is a beautiful botanic gardens that holds many varieties of trees and shrubs. There is always something to see and the walks are pleasant to stroll around. One of the oldest Australians fig trees can be found here, a long way from home. Do not be surprised to find students from the local high school in the park! It is worth the explore and the use of the natural landscape is very clever. The park dates back nearly two centuries
