An excellent experience. I was looking a tailor who doesn't yell outside the store or try to pull me inside to one's shop. And Guru Tailor worked just like that. A perfect start with the owner, a real gentleman! I ordered a suit as well as several shirts. Everything went perfectly. It took about three fitting sessions to get the suit to fit perfectly. I got all requested modifications and the tailor himself suggested several ones to get it good. Really excellent service! Shirts also fitted really well. I wanted some extra modifications (eg a bit bigger sleeve for the left hand to serve those bigger watches) and all that gone right. Materials are what they are, but nothing to complain about cotton, it is just a fine quality. I even got one extra shirt for free as being a good customer, nice compliment :) I don't have other experience about tailors in Cha-Am, but for overall I'd say that this was one of the best what I have ever got in clothing business. Btw, if your measures doens't change, you can order more shirts from your home country just by email. Just choose the fabric from images and that's it!

Just loved the light shining through the rocks and there are a number of caves to explore. The monkeys outside too commercialised for my liking..

We took a day trip here and walked the entire route. You will need a good level of fitness if you intend doing this entire walk, it is not especially climbing down into the cave towards the end ( you really need a touch ) .. Take plenty of water with you. You can also do a much shorter walk to a nice viewpoint that has steps. Being up for a good hike we really enjoyed our day

Railway Station Market

Every Morning Near The Railway Station

Reviewed By mrsmarshy2014 - Melbourne, Australia

Staying in cha am and decided to go to this market. Held every wednesday. Its a big market that stretches from in front of the cha am railway station down to the first intersection and sideways into the grounds of the nearby government building. Lots of stalls, great food, also clothes, shoes. There are sitdown restaurants/bars where you can sit and watch the crowds. Not so many foreigners, many locals. Good atmosphere, we really enjoyed it.

Kaeng Krachan Dam

Reviewed By andrewmI4785PU

Not a planned visit but what an amazing detour for an afternoon. Spectacular views of endless mountain ranges and a dam the size of a small sea, dotted with islands and boat tours by local guides, with stops along the way to see crab-eating macaque monkeys which happily board boats in search of food. Just don't try to get too close. The Kaeng Krachan dam is part of Thailand's largest national park. There is a quaint bridge over to one of the islands but access blocked half way across, unfortunately. Also not for the faint hearted or very young children given the movement of the bridge and the minimalistic wire side barrier. Worth seeing (sadly) is the most enormous section of tree trunk which I'm sure has a story to it. Around two metres in diameter and four or five metres in length. The living tree must have been awe-inspiring. In short, if you have your own car and are heading towards Hua Hin from Bangkok as I was, I would highly recommend a detour.

Khao Yoi Cave

Reviewed By JSolitude - Ostend, Belgium

This complex has a grand entrance: first, you need to climb the stairs, then descend into the cave. At the entrance you may encounter monkeys hunting for food, so watch your belongings. In the beautiful lit cave (see photos), you'll see an impressive array of stalagmites and stalactites. The cave is historically famous because King Rama IV practiced meditation here while he was ordained. Next door you'll also find Wat (Temple) Khao Yoi which has impressive murals. Both locations are very well maintained and safe to visit. Unlike more famous temples in Bangkok and Chiang Mai, this location isn't swamped with visitors so it's a relaxing and highly enjoyable experience.

This place was great. My wife and I loved it. The people saying this place is horrible have obviously never been to a zoo. It’s the same treatment if not better. When we arrived a man was walking around the zoo with one of the elephants. We were able to feed it and play with it. All the animals seem to be as happy as one can expect for zoo animals. We loved it and will definitely come back.
