Loved this amazing fountain, the animal sculptures were particularly interesting. It is great that you can walk right up and over it- and as it is so central in the city it is very easy to get there as a tourist or regularly walk past it if you live there. The square it is situated in, is just by the Four Corners and there are lots of beautiful churches very close.

This is a lovely and monumental statue, well located on the main square of the historical center. It has an Italian flavor with the kinky mermaids at the bottom. It is a great start to visit the center, or as a meeting point.

I have traveled worldwide for all my life, I cannot recall a city/town with this unique setting of piazza with a church and a fountain. Each of these fountains is unique telling the history of the town, quite a unique architectural style as well. There are enough to fill books just about the Viterbo’s fountains!
