This tour was such an amazing and memorable tour! Jorge was our tour guide and i 100% recommend him as the tour guide! Hes fluent in both english and spanish. We did the pablo escobar tour and the City of colombia tour with him and we absolutely loved every minute! It was a full day tour for both tours to be completed. He personally knew so many details that it would've been difficult to know had it been a different tour guide. Definitely book this tour and all for Jorge!!

Colombia is famous for its coffee, its principle export, and with good reason! True Colombia is passionate about providing an excellent, culture-driven, unique experience and they deliver. Their itinerary stood out from the beginning and the actual trip lived up to the hype. That was hard to do during COVID, but they did it. We got immediate updates before the trip when the government changed testing and travel restrictions (again and again). Each time, True Colombia moved destinations and activities around so we still got the most out of our trip. Even when things changed while we were in-country, our guides were quick to come up with some great alternatives. And, the guides are FANTASTIC. Fun people and very knowledgeable about a variety of topics. If you want to know about and experience colonial history, recent history, regional music, emeralds, indigenous culture, coffee, beautiful hikes, rum, street art, wool weaving and chocolate, this is your tour company. They also know where to go for delicious local food without the tourist crowds and prices. Don’t miss Zarina’s in Villa de Leyva. We loved every hotel they recommended, especially Cannua (ecolodge). Some special shoutouts: Brian and Santi, you are the best. Thanks for devoting so much time to us. We’re coming back and going to the Amazon. Felipe, you made us laugh. We loved all the local food you got us to try. Keep bringing out the local music, maps and toy soldiers with battle strategies. Santiago, thanks for the fun talks over a beer, walking us all over Cartagena and putting up with the endless questions. You know so much about your city! Ana, thanks for making the private, mini concerts happen with the Amadeus Foundation students. The Foundation’s work is heartwarming. When the travel restrictions suddenly changed, you somehow managed to get us to everything we really wanted to experience. We wish we’d had more time with you! Until next time, take care!

Andres did a wonderful job explaining the context and nuances of Colombian food, culture, people and current political context. Plus we got to explore some wonderful neighbourhoods. A bit pricier than some of the others, but well worth the extra cost. I can't recommend highly enough!
