This is a must place to visit if you are around Manizales or Caldas. This is an orange production villa, whose owner has devoted a life to the collection of orchids, and bonzai trees. There are different kinds of birds around the zone and if you happen to visit with Juan Antonio ( the guide), you will get a very nice overview of all the bird species that can be found on the region.

From the moment I arrived, Jorge and his family made me feel very welcome. Jorge and Santiago speak excellent English and they were invaluable to me. The food is prepared by Jorge’s mother Maria Theresa and was the best food I have eaten in Colombia since arriving three weeks ago. Of course, the coffee was plentiful and delicious. The tour was extensive. I now have a much greater appreciation for the hard work it takes to produce good coffee. Jorge also gave me a wonderful tour of the grounds and explained all the tropical vegetation growing in that area. Many dogs were on the property. They were extremely friendly and were never noisy or a nuisance. My room was very comfortable and a fan was thoughtfully provided since it was a little warm and there is no AC. The room, bathroom and shower were spotlessly clean and hot water was plentiful. A hammock and swing was available on the porch outside my room. One caution I would give future visitors is to bring insect repellent. There are biting insects in the coffee groves and I failed to protect myself with DEET. My stay was an incredible value as my total bill for the one night; two meals; tour and souvenirs was only $70 usd.

Terrific small, local coffee farm with every educational tours and tastings. The entire coffee growing and processing process is explained in a hands on manner. Tasting is included in the tour. You will come away with a whole new understanding of and appreciation for coffee. Every experienced staff.

The place is simply magical and ideal if you need a break or aren’t interested in all the "touristy" activities. There is a sense of tranquility from the vegetation and various sounds of nature, and alongside Ximena´s guidance (and her beautiful dogs), made for a wonderful and unexpected day. Definitely one of the most underrated locations in this part of the country. Definitivamente un lugar a visitar. Siempre que estuvimos en esta área de Colombia íbamos a los lugares de siempre, sin embargo, en esta oportunidad decidimos visitar un lugar diferente que sin duda nos sorprendió por su belleza, tranquilidad y por las enseñanzas que Ximena nos transmitió. Recomendadisimo.

Stayed at the finca and took the fascinating tour around the plantation with our 2 children aged 5 and 7. Even the children loved the whole experience picking coffee beans along the way. Very impressed with the knowledge of the guide and his passion for the Colombian coffee culture. The owners have done a wonderful job creating the route adding miradors for amazing views of the landscape along the way. There is also a fascinating selection of Colombian biodiversity to experience with frogs, citrus trees, papaya and banana trees and beautiful flowers all on display and explained as part of the tour. Would recommend highly as an essential part of the Colombian travel experience.

What a fantastic tour! The drive to the finca was long but the scenery was beautiful and it gave us a lot of time to talk casually with Dayana. She is a fantastic guide, very knowledgeable with great English and a whole lot of fun. We selected a private tour to La Cima and could not be more pleased. The family who owns the farm have been growing coffee for several generations and they treated us like honored guests with a simple breakfast, a very large, traditional Colombian lunch and, of course, all the coffee we could drink. The farm was beautiful and it was very interesting to learn more about the growing/roasting process and all the time and energy which goes into providing each cup. The taste testing was entertaining because the stuff we liked best was basically the dregs they sell instead of just throwing it away! To sum it up, we had a great experience spending time with wonderful people and would absolutely recommend this tour, especially with Dayana as a guide. Note: I am posting this same review in multiple places.

Wonderful authentic coffee finca tour in a small family owned farm. Jonathan gave a great informative tour in Spanish and English. Our kids loved the experience of picking their own berries. Grounds were gorgeous and we’d recommend to anyone who interested in a personalized experience. Coffee before and after the tour was fantastic as well!

Amazing place, Javier is so passionate about nature. He converted the farm into a very small scale coffee farm, with focus on biodiversity. The tour takes you to a humid tropical piece of forest, which he protects from the big, rather industrial farms around. Just an unforgettable encounter, go there and learn and enjoy! And yes, the food at his colleague’s goatfarm is superb (also for vegetarians!).
