Daniel, our tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. He showed us everything from the oldest parts of Bogota to the new parts of the city and the plans for the future. This was a last minute trip so I had not done much research into Bogota prior to my trip. The guided tour through the city and to Mount Monserrate made the trip worth while. Daniel was also very patient with my limited Spanish.

Any visit to Bogota should include a visit to the Salt Cathedral with this company! Cindy was outstanding and a gracious host! Pedro was a fantastic driver and the two of them made this visit to Bogota magical! Cindy’s knowledge and love for her country was evident and I was treated like royalty throughout the entire tour. The cathedral was such an incredible and interesting place to see as was the town of Zipacuira. Stunning architecture, wonderful people! Please take the time to visit!

5 STARS ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ after spending a week in Colombia with Luis as our driver and guide. From the moment we contacted him to arrange our trip, he was professional, kind, generous and transparent. Luis met us at the airport with our name on a tablet and took us to our hotel. Later in the week he helped us arrange travel around the country and he went above and beyond with sharing the history and significance of each part of Bogota and Medellin that we explored. His prices were very fair and most importantly, he gave us confidence to travel around and feel secure because he was attentive, knowledgeable and professional with every experience. I would definitely recommend Luis and his driver/ and guide service. He is a “small business” and we were happy to encourage him and support him because he really has a passion for his country, history, art, culture, and providing great logistics and hospitality for travelers. He made our trip exceptional and we hope to return soon. We highly recommend Luis! Johnny B. / Mario / Joel, New York, USA

We decided to do a quick tour of Bogota seeing that we had a 7 hour layover there! Throughout the whole process German helped us, and stayed in constant contact once we landed. He picked up us from the airport (even waited for an hour when our flight was delayed!) and took us to the main city points. He was very knowledgable on everything and made our quick tour a very fun and interesting one. Despite the heavy rain we had, the tour was worth every penny!

Juan Carlos met my mother and me at The Grace Hotel in Chapinero on time at 8:30am. He was very patient with us despite our tardiness. We then met our designated driver Jiménez (uncertain of her name but she was great too). We departed Bogotá at 8:45am. He told us that the drive to Lake Guatavita would be ~2 hours. As planned, we made a stop at the town Sesquile around 10:00am for a quick picture with the town’s sign and bathroom break. He was very kind to pay for my coffee at the bodega to allow us to use the bathroom. Then, onwards to the Lake Guatavita! There was a road closure for the main road to the lake, so we were forced to take a detour route which was mostly an unpaved road with no signs or cell/data service. This detour took us through an unexpected scenic route that resembled the Swiss Alps with endless rolling green hills, delicate wildflowers abound, mountain goats and cows freely grazing, and not a person in sight. We, including Jiménez and Juan Carlos, were pleasantly surprised and saw the positive side of the slight delay. We arrived at Lake Guatavita around 11am and the entry to the park reserve was included in the tour. We joined the group tour led by a park ranger. Since the tour was in Spanish, Juan Carlos gave us synopses in English. He was very knowledgeable of the legend and history of the area. The hike up to the lake from the entrance isn’t challenging (mostly stairs). There were plenty of spots to take pictures. We made a brief stop at the town Guatavita. After our pleasant experience at Guatavita, we decided to extend our tour with Juan Carlos by adding a trip to the Salt Cathedral. He and the driver were very flexible. The driver asked for an additional $120.000 COP. Juan Carlos arranged for our tickets to be pre-purchased so we paid $59.000 COP for each ticket that included an audio tour. They recommended having lunch at a restaurant near the salt cathedral. Truthfully, it was not a great experience. The waiter was very suspicious when handling the bill and payment. The salt cathedral was an interesting and unique experience, but we were rushed on time as we had only 1 hour and 45 minutes for the attraction. We departed around 6pm and were dropped off at our hotel. The highlight of this private tour was Juan Carlos and the lake. Although Juan Carlos was not completely fluent, his English was more proficient than most local people we’ve encountered in Bogotá which was extremely refreshing and helpful. It made this part of our trip to Colombia the least stressful, since my Spanish is only conversational. Thank you!

Lizeth Beltran is the very best....she is so well read, knows about architecture, history, coffee, food, world news, everything. We had great talks, showed us around more than we expected. Was very sweet, patient because one of our group could not walk fast or for so long and she really was flexible to our needs. She took us to try the best coffee in La Candelaria, and we tried the best buñuelos, you have got to try them.. But mostly you have to ask for Lizeth to take you around. We had so much fun. I think this tour was great when you only have two days in Bogota. So the first day we went to the cathedral of salt in Zipaquira, and the lagoon close by. For our second day we chose this tour which took us to Monserrate, Museum of Gold, Botero Museum, walk around down town, and La candelaria, and got to see the beautiful graffiti art. This tour was great to see all we needed to see before leaving.

Parche Cachaco offered and delivered an amazing tour beyond our group's expectations. A 3-hour tour of Bogota's most stunning, socially-expressive graffiti, including a walk through the historical Candeleria neighborhood, and the downtown Simon Bolivar plaza delivered much more. This tour company provided a very tailored and personal touch for our group. Our guide Juan was as informative as he was entertaining. He was joined by the driver and tour coordinator, all of whom made sure we all enjoyed the tour and had everything we needed. They did not measure or limit our time, but rather went at the group's pace, patiently answering our questions and offering up lots of interesting details. The tour included a stop at an eclectic and delicious restaurant in the Candeleria for a taste of Colombian delicacies and national liquer. They even accommodated a pet dog that come along with our group. It ended with a stop to enjoy a Colombian coffee. But even this offered more than expected, as the stop was at a a barista school where we had the pleasure of witnessing two very unique methods for brewing coffee with elaborate and expensive equipment that you might expect to see in a laboratory. All in all, it was a truly fantastic and memorable experience. Parche Cachaco offers several tours and we'll be sure to try one of the others knowing we can count on another amazing experience and customer service.

In Zipaquirá, 50 kilometers coming out from the northside of Bogotá, is the largest salt mine in Colombia. Although the mines date back to the time of the Muiscas, primitive inhabitants of the region have been intensively exploited, they continue to have enormous reserves. In the heart of the mountain, an underground salt cathedral was dug, in what constitutes a monumental work of engineering, architecture, and design. The huge interior can be 25 meters high, with a capacity of 10,000 people. It is the most visited tourist attraction in Colombia.

This tour was a great surprise in our short time spent in Colombia. Although we had to rush to get to the airport right after the tour, the company did everything to help us and the driver dropped us off at the airport with no extra cost. Our driver, Alex, drove very safely and was very friendly and polite. Our guide, Jhon Fredy, was simply the best guide we ever had in all of our travels! He knew everything about the places we went, was very friendly with everyone, and made us feel very comfortable the whole time. It was clear that they weren't there just for the money - they really care about their customers. It really exceeded our expectations!
