We booked James for an afternoon to shoot photos of our family (daughter, mum, dad, and grandma) during our stay at the very scenic Four Seasons resort Chiang Mai. The experience was great from start to finish and we ended up with some really amazing photos. It was one of those experiences where you go ‘wow, a professional really does make a difference’. Best of all, the process was enjoyable and relaxed the whole time. Highly recommended!

This is the high water mark for authentic experiences I have encountered in Asia over the years. This is NOT a cooking class, this is FAR FAR more. The cooking component is maybe 30% of the experience. This is an immersive experience with a real rural family, inside their lovely home compound and gardens, learning about their history and way of life. You have tea, chew betelnut in their pavilions, wander the gardens nibbling on plants and herbs, and yes finally you all cook together outdoors on a clay pot / charcoal system like in the old school. Then you eat together. If you want a commercial, soulless, cookie-cutter cooking class, there are plenty. But this experience is far more comprehensive, soulful, and unforgettable.

Thanks to the lime stone, which floats in the water, the rocks on the waterfall are not slippery and you can climb them easily without any equipment. You don’t even need shoes! The rocks are a little prickly, and some feel like pumice stones. There are 5 levels and each of them is a great place to sit down and enjoy your surroundings. The rocks are creamy, almost white. The lime also makes the water crystal blue. You can chill-out sitting on small pools and enjoy fresh air from the surrounding forest.

You will hear lot of histories about elephants behavior in their first "natural experience". This sanctuary is the first place where the people teach them how to behave like elephants, is a little bit sad to know what happened to them and how the workers need to teach how to be elephants again, by their own. Some of them were worn under cautevry so is like teaching to a baby that they need to live.

Enjoyed all this cozy camp had to offer. From feeding to bathing these cute giants. Myself and companions witnessed three of them at the camp - at the time -and they were keen, happy and well-treated. Highlight was getting to play with the little one - very eager to play. Although, one should be careful not to get rammed by him - as a youngling elephant with good energy (as suggested by the guide). Our host and guide were super friendly and excited to have us interacted with the elephants. Very knowledgeable and great story tellers! Glad to have captured so many wonderful moments here with the elephants.
