Great spot, bad management
Reviewed By nicodejager2I booked long in advance for 2 couples. However, when we arrived (17h00 on 1 June 2022), the chalet was not ready and we were moved back and forth between chalet 1 and 2. Chalet 2 was dirty and chalet 1 was clean but was lacking something. I did not expect a welcome party to meet us on arrival, but we got the total opposite. We had to wait quite a while after arrival before somebody noticed us and attended to us. However, after a while a young and kind gentleman (forgot his long name) appeared and got us sorted. Later on he came around and offered us a 50% refund. I perceived this as a kind gesture and it made-up for some of the discomfort which we experienced. However, I doubt whether it will solve the management problem which was clearly absent when we arrived.

Reviewed By jennyi96A fabulous campsite that is immaculately maintained. Sadly they are badly affected by municipal services and had no water while we were there. The manager did everything in her power to ensure we got water. The,ablutions were spotless and beautifully decorated

Reviewed By matthewcZ4184TGThis was our 2nd visit to this town and there is something that keeps pulling us back; it is quaint, the people are incredibly helpful, there are coffee shops and there is some fun accomodation. we found Cosy Cottages via Google and the booking was really easy. We got an entire cottage (2 bedrooms) to ourselves and it was fully equipped for self-catering. The chap who let us into the cottage returned with enough firewood to get us through the evening. A nice touch was a large water dispenser with filtered water for drinking and ice in the freezer. Comfortable lounge area, and a private patio with views across the hills outside Kamieskroon. And to finish off a unique experience, the local restaurant (closed due to Covid) offered to deliver us dinner to the cottage which came with a starter (soup) and dessert (peaches and cream). Amazing! Thanks guys
