Mamma Agata - Cooking Class

Reviewed By JoshuaGanim - Brisbane, Australia

What an adorable family! I heard about this world-famous cooking school in Ravello, on the hills of the picturesque coastline of the Amalfi Coast, that got the prestige because of the adorable, heart-warming Chiara, “the chatterbox”, and her husband Gennaro, “the super chef” by creating stunning, authentic Italian recipes passed down from Mamma Agata. Not only is the food to die for, but the energy of the experience is one of my life’s highlights. If you are planning on a trip there, this is an absolute must! But it books out, so be sure to book in advance. I think with Covid restrictions, you can only book for online classes currently. But when things lift, I've been twice and couldn't recommend anything more if you're visiting the area after an authentic feed. Delizioso!

I had the most amazing 7 days in Positano attending the Cooking Vacations school with hosted by Lauren and Rino. The accomodation was perfect and the whole experience was faultless. I learnt so much and ate so much, and being a single traveller Lauren and Rino went out of their way to make sure I was well taken care of at all times. The restaurant was beautiful and the head chef a great teacher. The tour to Capri and the road trips around Amalfi were also a wonderful experience. Highly recommend every aspect of this tour and the lovely Lauren and Rino. I will be back.

I highly recommend this experience! As an Italian American, this is the epitome of a traditional Italian meal with friends & "family." The grounds were magnificent with its beautiful pool and gardens, from where you will pick and use ingredients. And not to be missed? "Charlie's Wine!" I went there in 2019 and am just waiting for the skies to open up to go again. Charlie, You wait for me to come back. I look forward to taking you up on your invite to see your shop, and cook/drink with your family again! This time I'm staying in Sorrento and traveling to Naples! *I went in June 2019, but I didn't get that choice in the required drop-down menu.
