Went last night and had an unforgettable experience! If you haven't been to see Kynren yet, you are missing an incredible spectacle- made all the more amazing as the whole show depends on incredible, selfless volunteers, Everything, from booking to leaving the car park- still buzzing from what we had witnessed- was well organised and seamless. Everyone we met, from the carpark attendants to the marshals and cast, were professional and pleasant and it was very obvious how proud they were to be associated with the production. The show itself was breath-taking-the effects, music and of course, the wonderful cast, (who evidently enjoyed themselves as much as we did) made it a truly moving and unique experience which was over far too quickly! Please do yourselves a favour, do not miss out- go and see it!

Absolutely love this wee place, it's so different quirky and quainty.Staff are extremely welcoming friendly and nothing is a bother for them they go out of their way to help. Entertainment is fantastic and I can't wait for lockdown to be over so we can definitely a plan a few nights to go back and enjoy the whole experience. I would highly recommend this place and I personally can't wait to pay a visit when we can.

Well situated venue with accessible parking and a range of restaurants near by. The auditorium is well designed, comfortable and with good viewing and acoustics. Theatre staff are very pleasant and helpful. Gordon Buchanan is an outstanding photographer and naturalist who has passion and humour. The time simply flew. He was also very generous with autographs and questions. A thoroughly nice guy!

Empire Theatre & Cinema

My family and I just had another fantastic night at the empire theatre. We went to see the show Guitar Heroes, it was absolutely brilliant and worth every penny. It's hard to believe that a small theatre like the empire could hold such an excellent night out but we certainly were not disappointed. Can't wait for the next show Illegal Eagles. See you soon.

Darlington Hippodrome

Darlington Hippodrome (formerly Darlington Civic Theatre) re-opened in November 2017 after a £13.7m restoration. The Hippo Lounge cafe bar and three free gallery spaces are open from 10am each day (excluding Sundays).

The staff at this theatre are very helpful and try hard to accommodate customer needs. My partner was unable to take her seat in the upper circle due a medical condition affecting her balance. The assistant manager understood the situation immediately and personally arranged to find an alternative seat lower in the theatre stalls, taking care to escort her down the open glass sided staircases. Very much appreciated. The recently refurbished building has introduced modern amenities into a traditional theatre and is a delight to visit.
