I will tell you all about traditional ceramic, about the process of making tiles, styles and techniques. Together we will design and "cook" tiles. Making ceramic is a process that means burning the tile twice in the oven so you won't be able to take the tile with you on the spot but you can either take another one already made from the workshop or you can get it via post in a few weeks time. Let's become artists for a day and have fun together! :D

We are Alba & Marisa, the founders of GAZETE AZULEJOS. We work in the areas of ​​design and culture and we are both in love with Portuguese tiles. Together, we are building the only public catalogue of the tiles that cover the facades of Porto: OS AZULEJOS DO PORTO. We walk around the city taking pictures of tiles to complete our archive. We are also researching about its history, making techniques and designs. Everybody should know this incredible heritage. And we are here to make it happen :)
