The 10 Best Classes & Workshops in Bath, England

December 28, 2021 Roger Rusk

Known for its restorative wonders, Bath was once the home of Jane Austen. Sure, you could attempt to conjure up this elegant city by reading Pride and Prejudice in your tub, but as Bath has a lot more history than your bathroom (we assume, anyway) you'd be missing out. A stroll through Bath is like visiting an open-air museum, with roughly 5,000 buildings in the city drawing notice for their architectural merit. After your stroll, soak in the natural hot waters of the Thermae Bath Spa, once a favorite of the Celts and Romans.

I did the weeks advanced vegan cooking diploma, and it was easily the best money I’ve ever spent on a cooking course. The facilities are wonderful, you get treated like royalty, the way they care and look after everyone. Helen and Georgia are fantastic as well as all the tutors! So insightful and attentive. The knowledge gained was beyond what I could have imagined and thing that I can adapt and use for life, in so many different ways. They really set the bench mark of what’s vegan cooking can deliver, and if you care about the way the future is going and want to learn how to cook truly exceptional vegan food, you MUST do this course.. it’s really a no brainier!

Simi’s Kitchen

I give Persian cookery classes in my home, on Bath's renowned Great Pulteney Street. Classes are more akin to a meal at a friend's house than a formal class. There are plenty of home made drinks and nibbles to keep you going until we sit down to a 3 course meal followed by chai & chat. Typically, my guests spend about four hours with me. I do a monthly set class, and I also offer bespoke classes at a date & time that suits you and your dietary requirements. Please take a look at my site and contact me to arrange your Iranian experience. I look forward to meeting you and sharing my food heritage.

Contacted Sarah to organise this activity for my hen do. Had such a great time. She was really friendly and made it so easy. Venue was great too! All of us participating love our arts and crafts, but none of us had picked up a paintbrush in a very long time! Sarah made it really easy and helped us where needed, focussing on helping us to enjoy ourselves and reassuring us that it didn't matter if it wasn't perfect! The highlight of my hen do - thank you Sarah!
