Aynaligol (Gilindire) Magarasi

Reviewed By zoltano421 - Budapest, Hungary

The cave is located in a beautiful environment, on a far-stretching mountainous shore. The entrance is actually in the side of the cliffs, with a staircase leading way down to the mouth of the cave. Inside, a deep and breathtaking scenery awaits, with an untouched and majestic lake at the bottom. All in all, more than worth the two-hour return trip from Alanya through winding roads because it is much more beautiful than either, more touristic and well-known caves in and around that city.

Damlatas Caves

Reviewed By Gabbella28

This is a nice cave to visit. It was my first time visiting a cave in Turkey so it was impressing. I sw Postojna cave so of course this from Alanya is a very small one comparing with Postojna but a nice one. The price is not so high, 7 turkish lira. I understand it is a cave but the temperature is amazing high. I felt I entered in a wet sauna.

Caves of Heaven and Hell

Reviewed By 797ebrua - Ankara, Turkey

The Chasm of Hell and Pit of Heaven is an interesting place to visit. The City of Mersin is a beautiful coastal city in Turkey. In addition to coastal facilities, Mersin has numerous interesting ancient and geological places. The Chasm of Hell and Pit of Heaven are among those places. They located at the mountainous part of Narlidere nearby Kizkalesi. The best visiting hours in the summer time are early morning or late afternoon times due to very warm weather. In the Heaven part, you can reach to a cool cave and a body of water as well as remnants of the church (which St. Paul spent some time) by going 450 steps down. The Chasm of the Hell is only a place to look down from a balcony. If you wish, you can also visit to the cave of asthma near by the Hell and Heaven ;-)
