3 1/2 stars. We drove around Salut for 5 - 6 hours looking for lavender fields. I was disappointed we did not visit Roussillon. On Tripadvisor’s itinerary “Roussillon: Stop 45 minutes” was written, so I expected we would go both Roussillon and Gordes then spend time on lavender fields, but it was different. Since it’s August, we didn’t visit Abbaye Notre-Dame de Sénanque, neither. It’s good the guide was knowledgeable and knew so much about the lavender.

Starting with hotel pickup in Nice, this private 8-hours tour of Provence gives you the chance to discover the hidden treasures and typical delights of this beloved region of France. Visit places such as Mougins perched at 750 feet above sea level and located between Cannes and Grasse. Mougins is known for its Gastronomy festival (the stars of Mougins) and it is now an important tourist centre, having successfully preserved its quiet atmosphere and its particular character. You will visit typical villages as Saint Paul de Vence, Tourettes sur Loup, Gourdon and the perfume city of Grasse. Drive through the Gorges du Loup (Loup Canyon) where the river had carved huge gorges, one of the most beautiful natural curiosities in the Provence region. Feel the charm of former Provence villages and discover their medieval architecture and art in Tourrettes sur Loup or Saint Paul de Vence. Try Lavender or violette ice cream in Gourdon and enjoy the view from about 2000 feet above sea level.

Inclusions: Live commentary on board, Private guide, Hotel pickup and drop-off, Transport by air-conditioned minivan, Free WIFI (on demand)

Exclusions: Food and drinks, unless specified

This review is long overdue. But when a friend asked me what they should do while in France I had to recommend this day trip with Yvonne. Yvonne tailor made our day so that my husband and I were able to see the things most important to us. Her knowledge of the area is truly wonderful. We were able to visit little villages, talk to the shop owners, taste incredible food and see sights we would not have explored on our own. Of course her Mercedes was very clean and comfortable. Yvonne is a warm and friendly host. The day spent with her as our guide was the highlight of our trip to France.

This is a review about our experience "so far" with Christopher and Ooh Provence. A number of months ago, as usual, I did extensive research and found a photographer and I contacted him to see about a photo experience while in Marseille. He responded immediately and then told me about his tour company which extends beyond just photography. It was perfect...a guide that could help 2 amateur photographers get some unique shots in a great city plus learn about the history at the same time. I find this is a great way to explore a city. So, of course ,I booked and paid the deposit etc. and we confirmed our date. Then along came Covid 19 and I finally had to cancel .This company offers full refund up to 24 hours in advance of tour and Christopher had no problem with an immediate refund. I will add that is not the case with some hotels etc. I am so impressed with the customer service under very extraordinary circumstances and will definitely book with Ooh Provence in the future when we can return post Covid. Based on my experience so far I am sure we will have a great time touring Marseille and the surrounding area with Christopher. I often find the true test of a good travel company is how they handle unexpected problems and can be flexible. Christopher delivers on this for sure!!

Nicholas was a warm, knowledgeable and personable host who took us to some fantastic gems in the region. He knew the special spots and how to get much more out of an experience than an uninformed tourist. Very soon we were chatting about all sorts of things beyond Provence and having a great time. He allowed us to take some unplanned options such as a wine tasting and even finished with a 'final surprise' visit. We highly recommend this tour!

We had a lovely day going around the region, visiting wineries and tasting (a lot of) wine. We had a top notch guide (ask for Nicolas) who taught us so much about wine in the cote du rhone. He answered all of our questions and was very entertaining and helpful all day long. We visited two wineries in the morning, had lunch at a picturesque castle and two more wineries in the afternoon. In between, our guide gave us lots of information on wine and the region in general. You will get plenty of wine during the tastings. There is no pressure to buy although you can if you want to (you will probably want to :)) Highly recommend if you appreciate wine and want to lear more about wine in this region.

Our host Zara, made the Monaco/Eze Village visit so enjoyable. From Perfumery (Grasse) to to Casio (Monte Carlo) and Monaco itself. The pickup from my Nice dwelling was an unexpected benefit. The on route conversations were delightful and the scenic views of the rolling hills along the French Riviera were just breathtaking. Thoroughly enjoyed this 4 hour excursion and would pay to do the longer more expensive tour next time I am in this part of France. Thanks Zara and team. Regards - Ed
