As the capital city of the Republic of Kosovo, it is the center of cultural and artistic development of all Albanians that live in Kosovo. The centre of Prishtina is full of fascinating architecture- modern EU or US funded towers full of glass and steel, sitting next to ageing Yugoslavian Communist era blocks that would have once housed ‘the workers’. With a fascinating and admittedly troubled past, Kosovo is now welcoming almost 200,000 visitors each year and this trend is set to continue as word gets out about its trendy, low-cost, and quirky capital.

All I can say is WOW! We didn't have much time to spend in Albania and this tour covered all of the history and culture one can indulge in just a few days. We started in the ancient city of Durres with a little walkthrough of the history and some stunning views. Our tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable all the way through. What more can you ask for on such a short trip? It was good times and stunning views combined with hilarious banter and cultural education of the region. I particularly liked Shkodra Lake. I wish we had more time. Don't miss this one! Thanks again!

I didn't have any expectations regarding Krujë, but the national museum Gjergj Kastrioti Skënderbeu inside the castle felt very epic and turned out to be one my favorite ones so far in Albania. It amazes me how knowledgeable Andi is about everything you ask him, even specific details! We adjusted the itinerary a little bit on my request, which is always convenient if you're running out of time.
