The Bío Bío Region (BEE-oh-BEE-oh; Spanish: Región del Bío-Bío pronounced [ˌbi.oˈβi.o]), is one of Chile's fifteen first-order administrative divisions; it is divided into four provinces: Arauco, Bío Bío, Concepción, and Ñuble. It is also known by its original denomination: VIII Region. Concepción is the capital and largest city. Other important cities include Chillán, Coronel, Hualpén, Los Ángeles, and Talcahuano.

In this tour, we will visit in detail the patrimonial city of Lota. We will start our journey visiting Playa Blanca, where we will be in the exact half of Chilean Continental Territory. We will continue visiting the Mining Town, where the film "Subterra" was filmed to recreate the coal miners life while extracted in the zone from 1852 to 1997. Then, we will descend to the mine in a 1 hour and half tour. After that, we will see Silk Drop Building and Saint Mathew Apostle Church, and then will have lunch. Later, we will visit Lota Museum and Isabel Cousiño Park. Then, we will visit Pavilion 83, followed by a visit to Lota Main Square, where we will see Miners Theatre and School Breakfast Building. Finally, we will visit Fort Lota, from where we wil see Lota and Colcura bays, and Colcura Beach.

We will start this trip visiting the small town of Ninhue, where we will visit Arturo Prat Museum. Then, we will get around Cobquecura, where we will see the Stone Cathedral, the Sea Lions Sanctuary and the Ecomuseum. After that, we will go to Buchupureo beach, where we will have lunch. Finally, we will return to Concepción, visiting briefly the town of Quirihue during the trip.

The tour guide knew so much little facts about the areas we walked in. I could really tell he enjoys history and continues to add information about the cities as he learns more. He even gave me a couple of recommendations on where to buy souvenirs. The shops merchandise were varied and really cheap. My family was happy with their gifts!☺️
