A fantastic day out enjoying the Hawk and Owl encounter. A beautiful place in a fantastic location and an unforgettable experience with friendly knowledgeable staff Jo and Emily getting to meet lots of beautiful birds of prey and getting to fly 5 different kinds of them. The centre also does lots of well needed conservation work with wild birds of prey too. Would highly recommend and am definitely planning a return visit.

Phipps NBC - The Albion Brewery

Welcome to the Albion Brewery Bar, the most unusual new bar and venue in town. We are open from 12 everyday for fine ales, cider, lager, wines & spirits including Kingswell Gin distilled in the brewery. Our 8 hand pumps of cask ale feature Phipps, Hoggleys and a revolving guest ale. We have added an oak and glass partition between the bar and brewery so customers can view the brewing process as they drink and eat. Each day will bring a cabaret of mashing, sparging, racking and cleaning as Phipps staff go about their business of creating our beers. Almost all the bar's fittings are reclaimed with many coming from old closed Phipps pubs. Over the foyer there are new toilets including Disabled. We have kept the space true to its origins as a working brewhouse so you can drink ale with the smallest carbon footprint in the county but the biggest taste and the longest history. Hot food is available Wednesday to Sunday afternoon. There will be gigs and events as advertised.

Great stories unfold on this tour. I had been in the Pub as a customer before but did not realise that I had been actually walking on Northampton brewing history. If you like finding out about History and not just of brewing but of Northampton Town this is for you. Alaric one of the Directors did the tour and his passion and his enthusiasm simply shines out - from the beer that saved us in the second world war via Phipps claret colour and looking into a real King's well. I had to dash off after the tour but will return to try Stingo and Ratliffes stout.

been to Northampton rooms today and done molten creek mine with a group of friend, and yes we manage to escape just in 57.35 and came out rather dusty especially one friend who had dust all down her back but what mines aren’t so added to the atmosphere to make it all the more fun, so make sure to wear old clothes, Dan our host was brilliant very friendly from the moment we arrived to leaving, done a great intro and also gave a few helpful hints when most needed, and took photos with all our phones at the end for us, so thank you Dan for being a great host

The facilities are first rate and safe. The archery coach was friendly, welcoming, knowledgeable and a good instructor. Whilst I was there I witnessed a lesson with two novices and within no time at all they were claiming centre bulls eyes. Highly recommended and very reasoably priced.

78 Derngate

78 Derngate is the only house in England designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh. It is now a multi award-winning visitor attraction offering an unforgettable day out in Northampton. Designed and remodelled by Charles Rennie Mackintosh in 1916, the house has been meticulously restored and opened to the public. On site: a boutique restaurant, light-filled art galleries, a stylish design shop and elegant spaces that can be hired for meetings, events and functions. 78 Derngate was the architect's final major commission; his visionary patron, Northampton model engineer, W.J Bassett-Lowke.
