Hook Norton Brewery

Brewery tours run Monday to Sunday, starting from the Visitors Centre, they last approximately 2 hours. The first 1½ hours are spent around the brewery where you'll see our original steam engine, learn about our history and how we make our range of delicious beers. Once outside the Brewery, don't forget to keep an eye out for our working Shire horses, which still deliver beer to our local pubs. In any event, the tour of the brewery includes a tour of the stables so you won’t miss out on seeing these amazing animals. Upon completion of the tour, it's back to our sampling bar in the Visitor Centre for a ½ hour beer tasting. It is essential to book a Brewery Tour by contacting us on the phone or email. Costs from £12.50 - £15.00

We stayed locally and came to the restaurant here twice for a great breakfast. We stayed for an absolutely fascinating tour from Chris, who introduced us to the shire horses and did a brilliant job educating our mixed-age group about the brewery building and process, including its steam engine. A really wonderful bit of local industry since 1899 - producing great beer (we filled the car boot!) and offering really wonderful sustenance and first rate hospitality.

Ringwood Brewery

We went on a 6.30pm tour with Vincent and John and we were made very welcome. John was very informative about the history of Ringwood and instantly gave everyone a half pint of their excellent beer and then Vincent took us on a tour of the building, talking us through the brewing process. As my husband is a keen beer drinker we have been on several of these tours, but this was the best. It was explained step by step and we learnt a lot. We especially enjoyed tasting the barley in various stages and looking at the barrel process. After our tour we went back to John in the pub who talked through the different beers and generously handed out more to taste. I also had a go at pulling a pint. We are a varied group from 17 to 73 and we all thoroughly enjoyed our visit. At the end we were given our Ringwood glasses and a bottle of their tasty beer. After the tour we were given time to buy anything from the shop. John and Vincent were both knowledgeable and friendly and we didn't feel rushed at all, it felt like a nice evening at the local pub!!

I had a trip around the brewery at Partridge Green, with friends, which was very informative and led by a very informative guide, Graham. We were taken through the whole brewing process, from water to end product including the canning process. Staff at the brewery were really friendly and we were invited to hep ourselves to five different beers throughout the visit. The brewery shop has branded clothing, beers on tap and bottled cans and beers from their own brews as well as brews both local and from near and far. A very worthwhile trip.

Malt The Brewery

Founded in 2012 by Nick Watson, this microbrewery is based at the heart of the Chiltern Hills and has a real focus on the natural ingredients that go into making fine real ales. This includes very British malted barley farmed on the Icknield series through to contemporary hops sourced from around the world. Whether you enjoy traditional British real ales like our Anniversary Ale or more contemporary and fruitier real ales such as Starry Nights, you’ll find something to suit your taste. Come and 'Taste The Chilterns'. Visit the brewery shop 7 days a week and see straight into the brewery hall, where all our ales are hand made. At our Tasting Station, enjoy an ale flight of 3 Malt Ales with tasting notes, a guided tasting with one of our knowledgeable team or on Sundays enjoy a brewer-led tour around the brewery with the Brewer. Tasting is a personal experience and we encourage you to taste our ales in whatever format works for you, whether it's 3 half pints or pints. It's entirely up to you. A range of options are available.

Spent a lovely couple of hours sampling 5 beers and learning all about the brewery and how the beer is brewed. All the beers sampled were excellent. I have been a customer for a few years now but until now hadn't done the tour. The head brewer is a really entertaining and knowledgeable bloke who has pitched this tour on the right level. His passion for his art are clear to see. This passion has created one of best breweries in the country producing award winning beers. The tour finished off with a pint of your choice in the lovely tasting bar and a complimentary pint glass to take home. Oh and a 10% discount in the shop. You really need to go on this tour!

Pilgrim Brewery

The beer was really nice with a great selection of beers as you would expect, the location off the high street with the cricket ground behind is really nice, and they are well set up amazingly for pre-c19 summer drinks...and post c19 social distancing spacing drinking. I am not an authority on regulations, but they were very diligent at getting people to use hand sanitiser, they had good spaces for drinking, and they seemed to be very organised and efficient. The one thing that really stood out was how great the staff were. Not only was their table service super efficient, and were they 100% on hand, but they were a very charming crew. I turned up early ahead of my group and they couldn't have been nicer with each one stopping to see how I was doing. It's a really cool place to drink and will definitely go back.
