Perfect Summer Retreat

Located in a bucolic mountain valley outside Santo Antonio do Pinhal this pousada has dramatic views, rustic tranquility is a good few degrees cooler than in São Paulo. We even lit the fire in our chalet one evening. Not that it was cold, but just a nice change from the relentless heat back in the city. The pousada clings to a hillside, the views are magnificent, the chalets spacious, well equipped and comfortable with views that look like they were painted by some Old Master visiting the New World. There is a fantastic swimming pool, the breakfast is delicious and Santo Antonio is a very agreeable town for poking around in. Much more charming that nearby Campos. Highly recommend!

Reviewed By Sungil FWe chose this hotel because it was cheaper than staying in Campos do Jordão. Its located down a dirt road in beautiful hill side of a city about 30 minutes outside of Campos do Jordão. We were very impressed by the service and the quality of the room. Everyone gets their own cabin. Everything in the room is beautiful and well kept. Breakfast is delivered to your room. We were very impressed by the place.

Our guest house Pousada Alemã, keeping 14 tasteful appartments of different sizes distributed on 2 pavements, is situated in the heart of the very nice town of Santo Antônio do Pinhal (7,000 inhabitants), surrounded by green mountains of the Serra da Mantiqueira. We dedicate ourselves to offer an honest service in nice surroundings, at decent prices. The owners are farmers and thus many of their farm products are served during our nice breakfast. The owners on their dairy farm also produce a wonderful italian icecream, under the brand Eisland.
A nice surprise in the city center
Reviewed By LyssMeloA small and very well cared for hotel. Small rooms but with everything you need. The Hotel is very close to the city center, where you´ll find restaurants and shops. The breakfast room is a very "german style" decoration. The breakfast is good, fruits, juices, cakes and pastries... everything quite good. A nice place to stay.

A atendente Lidiane é muito atenciosa, pró ativa, muito prestativa. Para ficar bem melhor, a pousada precisa melhorar o chuveiro dos chalés (elétrico, com pouca água) e providenciar gerador para as faltas de energia frequentes.

Reviewed By Bruce_and_RoseniWe stayed here at the recommendation of a person in Sao Paulo and enjoyed our stay. This hotel is older, but kept up. We had hammocks to lay in during the day and that was great! They have bikes you can use for free, with helmets. We rode to the waterfall that was about an hour ride there and 45 minutes returning. It was a little hard going to the waterfall because it was uphill, but it was not that bad. We are in our late 50's and we did it. We had to walk a little bit, but it was worth our effort. There is a fireplace and wood is included. It was nice to just sit in front of the fireplace and hold one another. There is an outdoor pool, but it was too cold. So, we used the heated indoor pool and it was wonderful. We entered the sauna for a little while and then back to the pool. There were board games and we played a game of chess near the pool. There is a refrigerator in the room that is available, but no snacks or drinks are in the room. There is wifi in the room, but the signal was weak. We didn't try another location on site, but I'm sure you could go to a place with good signal. We ate at some nice restaurants there and we will write a review for them too.

Lovely resort among the woods

Surrounded by forest and mountains this resort has many chalets to stay with different views. Decorations both interior and exterior are quite lovely and eye-catching... the handmade shower, the pool, balcony etc. Friendly dogs too. I like the idea of this place 'no TV in the room'.
