It's walking distance from three great watersports centres on the beach. Definitely recommend this B&B! Hope to be able to go again soon.

Reviewed By SallybelindaWe have just spent 11 nights with Orauidea in her beautiful GuestHouse and can confirm that it is charming in every way. Orquidea is very warm and welcoming and all her staff are lovely. It’s location is superb, sitting right on Estoril beach, which is the calmest bay on the Island and an easy 10 minute walk into the centre of Sal Rei, where you can watch the fishermen unloading their catch and the local children enjoying the sea! The rooms are simply furnished, but immaculately clean and very comfortable. We had room 8, which is a superior room upstairs with a balcony with a hammock and sunbed, from which you can enjoy a fabulous view of the beach. Breakfast is served in a delightful courtyard, shaded by banana trees. Frankly - what’s not to love?

Reviewed By rochellec282I have been staying at CA Elsa since December 2021 and I am very impressed with the service Fabio the landlord has given. There is a beautiful little garden area for if you want to have a BBQ or read a book and chill out. The apartments are spacious and clean. Anything you need Fabio assist you with. There is WiFi for you to use and a very big roof terrace to soak up some sun. If you are looking for somewhere local and between the beach and shops this is IDEAL. Thank you Ca Elsa and Fabio ?

Reviewed By JudithLimaWe have spent a total of 1 week (spread over a holiday of 2 weeks) in April / May here with 2 families devided over 2 apartments. The very spacious apartments are really fully equipped. Complete kitchen with all necessities, beamer to watch TV, nice bed and a good shower. Excellent breakfast service and everything was very clean! The owners, Dario and Michaela made sure that we lacked nothing, came up with suggestions and arranged taxis, excursions and/or dinner reservations for us. Depending on the number of nights you stayed, we also got a number of taxi rides for free. Highly recommended and we will definitely be back!

There is everything in short walking distance: supermarkets, bank/cash machine, shops, restaurants and...the ocean ? The house itself is welcoming and friendly, we spent hours just hanging at the hippie-esque patio that has couches, chairs, hammocks, lampions, a giant maracuja tree, a few sweet cats...well, and Toby, the dog ? Francoise, the host, is around basically all the time to help with anything and everything and his staff is friendly and super-kind. The rooms are clean and have everything you need unless you expect one of these boring five-star-all inclusive-one style fits all-resort in the middle of nowhere-kinda rooms that make you forget where you are as they are same-same wherever *yawn* The breakfast is yummie and consists of bread, various marmelades (loved the plum one), yogurt, cheese and ham plus an occasional maracuja right from the tree straight to your mouth, mmmmh ? Oh, and the guesthouse comes with making new friends from all over the world, capeverdean or rest of earth, to top it off ?

We are a small Hotel, located at the center of Sal-Rei, the main town, 6km far from the airport and 200m far for the beach. We have 29 rooms equipped with, AC or fan, mini-bar, hot and cold water, TV, telephone safety box hair dryer and internet wireless. Restaurant (on the ground floor) serving traditional Creole cooking specialties, seafood dishes, and international cuisine. Guests can enjoy the traditional music, live, every Friday.
Good hotel for people who have not experianced the quality and service of a real 5 star hotel
Reviewed By durroBasically resort is RUBBISH. Room is good although if your not lucky it could need a taxis to get to the main pool/ theatre or main resteraunt. Food is reasonable but quality is 4/10 and "theme" restaurants arer basically the same fare with a slight additional special dish. Beach is very nice but the red flag flew all 2 weeks so limited sea swimming. With probably 2000 people the entertainment was very basic and the sound system so bad anybody further back than 1/2 way quality was not good. Pool activities were good. Cocktails were from a machine and disgusting. Management was NEVER seen around. This hotel caters for the masses with litle respect for all around quality. Do not go during school as hundreds of children in the main pool leads to (sometimes obvious) hygiene concerns and disruptive very bad behavour (sometimes disgusting??) WIFI Very limted bandwith. Island boring, Most staff miserable Suggest new management and a complete change of attitude to holiday makers, Thomson take note? We would not go back.
