Beautiful and unique vintage inn

Just before covid tried to ruin the world, my daughter and I traveled to Mendoza and stayed here. It is a quaint gem that was such a lovely experience! The grounds are simply beautiful and the staff were so kind and helpful! After going on full day vineyard tours in Mendoza coming back here was so relaxing and refreshing. I’ve told about our trip and this place to so many people and hope we can return some day!

No wii fi in bedroom!
Reviewed By mar_ac536Very poor service and facilities. There was no wi fi in the bedroom. The refrigerator in the bedroom made a lot of noise , so we had to unplug it. The were no chairs in the balcony (although they advertised pictures with them ). Most important of all, made a complain to the manager and did not seemed to care at all. WE DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL, not worthwhile the value.

Posada Cavieres is located in the middle of the wine route in Maipu, Mendoza's first wine zone, with 9 wineries in walking distance. The lodge has 14 hectares, where you'll find vineyards and olive trees. The lodge has 7 spacious rooms, each with private bathroom. It's equipped with a kitchenette and dining room. Each night there are various menus to choose from. There is a swimming pool and Wifi. The posada provides a copious breakfast with regional products. The posada has its own line of wines, "Cavieres." From the posada you can cycle along the wine road and go wine tasting in the surrounding wineries, visit olive oil factories, chocolate- , liquor- and cheese factories, go horseback riding or do a trip into the mountains.

Reviewed By WayneB1990This place is great, lovely location making it easy to access lots of vineyards by foot/bike. Rooms are nice and big, great wifi and the pool area is nice. Hans the owner is great, helpful and always on hand for advice. The food offered on evening is great and a very good price, as is the wine available. The only negative I would say is the breakfast is a little poor, but to be honest we have found this in most places we have stayed in Argentina.Make sure to contact Hans directly to get the best prices!

Wonderful place with good wine and awful food

I have ordered a Greek salad that was everything but greek… raisins instead of olive, provolone cheese instead of feta. My husband ordered a ravioli that was thick and badly cooked. The desert was a creme brûlée that had more sugar than anything else. In summary, it’s worth visiting but don’t plan to eat anything in the place.

Nothing was too much trouble & it felt like you were being welcomed into his own home. All the other staff were also very friendly & helpful The room was on the small side but it was & clean well decorated. A wonderful stay in Mendoza
Reviewed By 327kurtgThis is a very nice B&B. We would definitely stay here again upon returning to Mendoza. Our room was large, including an American size bathroom. Breakfast was wonderful. Location is superb. One block (so quiet) off of Av. Aristides Villanueva, so great restaurant choices. Close to the tram, and so easy to get to Maipú. And most important, Jorge and Gladys are wonderful hosts. They are happy to speak English or Spanish, and will give advice or not, all up to you. Highly, highly recommend.

A cozy Oasis in the middel of a wine paradise
Reviewed By johanneh725We were recomended this place by a friend from home and we would like to recommend it to every other couple/family who wish to visit Mendoza and it’s surroundings. The place is a bus ride away from the city which makes it very nice and quite. The athmosphere is very cozy with the family owned hotel filled with olive trees, cute puppies and a “sometimes about” restaurant. The owner however, deserves an award for themselves. They were more than helpful and offered several things, that no other hotel/hostel staff would even consider as taking us for a bike ride, washing our clothes, help us cook, move us to a better and more luxurious room etc. All in all this is defintely a place to visit if you’re tired of the big cities and need to relax in a profound environment.
