Thank you to all of you who made our stay so special (with insider tips of where to enjoy the best view and best restaurants in Noto!). The grounds and garden are beautifully maintained, the Junior Suite with its own private little pool and garden was a delight to stay in, and wining and dining under the stars in the evening was out of this world. A truly memorable stay.

Reviewed By Pathfinder101326Beautiful place. We had breakfast in a lovely fruit garden with home made cakes. The place is clean and comfortable. The owner is very friendly and gives plenty of advice on places to visit, and he also showed us around the historical part of the building.

Reviewed By elleshillSuperb location in the heart of noto and above the famous cafe Sicilia (our terrace overlooked the tables below, also facing the cathedral); a wonderfully restored and gently modernised palazzo with delicious breakfast and very warm hospitality: we were looked after beautifully and couldn’t believe we were the only guests at the time…utterly gorgeous.

It was located a few meters from Hotel Flora, wright behind "Porta Nazionale". They took us to the dependance with a golf cart. The service, the breakfast from the roof were you can see the city, there is not a stone unturned. Every request is taken care of with a smile. The staff remembers are very sweet and kind. This was the first time for us at Noto so they suggested some places to visit and were to eat. Porta Nazionale Dependance is a family management hotel and all the things they did for us was like we were part of that family too. This was the best part for me. PERFECT. I recommend

Reviewed By KentHolidayfanLovely small hotel (10ish rooms). Great breakfasts and gorgeous pool with bar serving drinks and food (salads and panini etc) until 8pm. Room modern and nicely decorated - stayed in room 6, near pool and great view of Noto. Gorgeous pool with fab view of the town. Staff friendly and helpful. Gorgeous grey fluffy resident cat - with no name - will be your best friend for a slice of breakfast prosciutto. Really good location for exploring the unspoilt south east.

Modern design sit with antiques selected with great care from local markets as well as well-loved family heirlooms which recount lifetimes. Bespoke furnishings have been handcrafted by local artisans using quality natural materials. Homemade breakfasts and lunches are made with love using the fruits of our orchards and vegetable gardens. Every evening you can also enjoy our special apéritif, tasting some wonderful Sicilian recipes freshly made in our kitchen. Restful patios, niches and nooks, nature walks, and an infinity pool which pours into the rolling hills below.
Great property. Shame about the service
Reviewed By kamoniteLet me start by saying the manager made the effort to come in on his evening off to discuss my complaints for which I was grateful. After investigating he was generous enough to cancel the charge for dinner which was also a decent gesture (albeit I would have paid NOT to eat it). For £300 for a single night's b&b it shouldn't have been necessary to complain about the service; for that kind o money one expects to receive a level of service beyond a Premier Inn. What I wasn't expecting was a mini-bar only containing only warm water, a selection of 4 miserable sachets of tea and 2 unlabelled coffee pods and nothing much more. No offer of a drink upon arrival (it was 34 degrees) and no fresh fruit in the room. The only place to plug in the kettle was on the floor given the cable was only a few inches long. And so on.... The pool area is delightful but no one bothered to attend to the guests at any point during the entire afternoon to enquire about drinks orders. You have to get up and visit them in the main building. Really? BTW the bedroom was on the small side redeemed to an extent by its tiny balcony Most disappointing of all was the dinner - in our opinion an exercise in over-priced self-indulgence by a chef whose talents can't match his ambitions . EUR30 for a small piece of hot smoked fish served with a desert spoon of mustard sauce and some ricotta? It wasn't enjoyable and it wasn't satisfying. The dry rice with beef heart and octopus was joyless although the cats seemed to enjoy the few small pieces of protein on the plate Conversely, breakfast was an enjoyable triumph. The eggs were perfectly cooked and the menu options were numerous and interesting. There is something fundamentally wrong with the service culture at this establishment. Maybe a few 5 star reviews by guests who are possibly impressed by waiters in white gloves and wine pairings has gone to their heads. if I hadn't been forced to pay for the booking in advance the discussion may well have been different.

Enchanting hotel in idyllic Sicilian countryside
Reviewed By VonkytonkI wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this beautiful hotel. Set in peaceful Sicilian farmland only 5 minutes from the magical town of Noto, we had an exemplary stay here. The staff were wonderful and nothing was too much trouble. The room was outstanding, the breakfast was wonderful. We were attending a wedding nearby and when the taxi failed to show leaving us stranded, Clay the manger of the hotel offered to personally drive us to the venue. This was such a kind thing to do and saved us from the disaster of not being able to make it to the wedding. He would not even accept my offer of cash for his petrol - he was a true gentleman and he epitomises the class that exudes from this charming hotel. Please stay here - you will not be disappointed!!! We cannot wait to return. Thank you Clay and everyone at the Terre Di Romanello!!!

Outstanding for the price
Reviewed By kamoniteA perfect location for exploring the nearby nature reserve. Beautiful setting, warm friendly service and a simple but very comfortable room in the converted stable block. The dinner was memorable and modestly priced for the quality of fayre. My one criticism is the lack of separation between the car park and the swimming pool area - it would merely require a dry stone wall and some shrubs to transform the large outside space.
