From outside this hotel looks pretty plain but once your inside it is really very nice, well decorated and clean with a lovely lounge and dining room. We had room #22 which faced the sea and had superb views of the Farne Isles. The room had all the usual items, kettle, tea, coffee, biscuits and the now must have WiFi. The bathroom was stocked with shampoo and shower gel and had a very nice over bath shower. Breakfast was really nice with a large selection of eats on the menu. Parking was free and accommodation is only a 10 minute walk into town centre.

Perfect one-night stay!

Stayed here for one night and the service was first class. The hotel was under new management and the manager was pretty much doing g everything himself due to being unable to get reliable stafff. DO NOT LET THAT PUT YOU OFF BOOKING - he was amazing. - friendly, well organised, incredible helpful and always cheerful. We stayed as part of a 4 day cycling holiday and were even provided with a separate room in the hotel to secure the bikes. The evening meals were also really good - plenty of options (wirh a good choice of vegetarian options). Our room even has a hot tub! Highly recommend

Great mini break

Reviewed By nicolarM8888XK

We had a lovely 3 night stay at the hotel. The room was very spacious and the beds very comfortable. The breakfast was delicious, especially the hash browns! We also had an evening meal in the restaurant which was very good, and reasonably priced compared to some of the restaurants in Seahouses. The bar was well stocked with a good choice of beer and gin. It was lovely sitting outside in the beer garden in the sunshine. The hotel is located near to all the main attractions and it’s only a 15-20 minute walk into Seahouses. I would definitely recommend this hotel and will certainly book again.

The Queens Head

The Queens Head was fully refurbished in April 2019. We offer a variety of smart en-suite rooms. We have a relaxed atmosphere, friendly bar and helpful staff. The attractive lounge/ restaurant has a comfortable ambience offering an area for informal dinning, catching up with friends over a coffee and a slice of cake or a drink around our lovely log burner. There is a patio garden and free private car park. We pride ourselves on the quality of our food and service.

Sunday visits

We often go to the Queens Head for Sunday lunch but recently there has been quite a high price increase for the lunches with a dip in quality. I know most places have increased prices recently but the portion size of meat has been drastically cut along with the options available. We also make a booking and have turned up twice recently to be told we haven’t booked! Not sure what is going on but need to revert back to a few months ago where everything was spot on!!
