Excellent pasta and beef, somewhat slow service

Reviewed By Heikki600

With a group of friends we had a short lunch stop here. Pasta Carbonara was great and the beef steak enormous and well done. We were in a bit of hurry and service was a little bit slow but nice. A friend was not happy with the chicken meal he got and a few sidedishes were never brougth to us. They were not billed either so no problem with that. So the place has nice service but it is not for the fast paced visitors.

Real hidden gem in the south of Umbria. Visited the casale twice already and keeps amazing us. It's an absolutely lovely place with a stylish interior combined with an authentic atmosphere on a hilltop in between of vineyards and olivetrees. Rooms are supernice and clean, the pool area is an oasis of peace and the hosts are the best. Lovely couple that go out of their way to help made our stay top. Wish I could give 6 stars.

Unforgettable stay over my 30th birthday!

Reviewed By ingadriks

I know we often say that we would return to a place or a hotel we loved, though it rarely happens (at least in my case). But I can honestly say that Torre Palombara is one of those places I will 100% return to. Apart from being located in an incredibly charming countryside in Umbria and originally built in the 15th century - Leonardo (the owner) will go above and beyond to make your stay unforgettable. Will recommend to anyone: family, couples, friends travelling.

Long weekend in Unbria with my family

Reviewed By Pamela Z

The rooms we booked were very comfortable and clean. We had an entire additional area to watch TV, have breakfast or relax. They provide a kitchen with fridge were we stored fresh drinks to take during our trips. The weather was nice so we sun bathed for few hours in the patio. The location was really convenient for us, just 20 mins away from Marmore waterfall and Piediluco lake or Narni where we visited Narni underground. The hosts were great, they suggested where to go for dinner and let us stay an extra half day for free so we could rest and have a shower before our return home. We had a great time and we'll probably go back next year!

Lovely Stay

Reviewed By Shen_Valley_3

This B&B is nestled in the small town of Narni and made for a perfect overnight stop as we traveled to Venice. Although we spoke little Italian and the hosts spoke little English, their kindness and warmth transcended all language barriers! The room was a bit small for our family of three, but it was clean and cozy. We had access to the small kitchen area and complimentary bottled water and snacks were at our disposal. Because we arrived quite late in the evening, there were few dinner options nearby. However, a supermarket was just down the road, so we walked there and purchased some food/drinks to enjoy back in our room. Breakfast was amazing - meats, cheeses, fruits, breads, pastries, yogurts - wow!! Overall, it was a lovely, memorable stay. Grazie!

Podere Costa Romana

The house is surrounded by a large park. The swimming pool, situated on a natural terrace, there is a compelling vision of the hills and valleys that stretch to the horizon. The villa has several openings which leads to the garden. In front of every opening there is a patio furnished with taste that invites you to relax outdoors. The large house dating from the nineteenth century and restored in 2001, about 550 square meters. It is divided in two floors, the ground floor comprises a large living room-lounge (elegantly furnished with original wood floors and beams, the old central fireplace, antique furniture - all create an evocative atmosphere), very large fitted kitchen, study and bathroom with dressing room. The upper floor is accessed by both the garden from the lower floor via a wooden staircase leading to a lobby where you overlook the suite. The particularity of Podere Costa Romana is the following: the interior of the villa has not simple rooms, but independent mini-apartments (suite). Each suite has its own small living room with kitchenette, table with chairs, armchairs and a sofa or sofa bed, bathroom with shower and a bed on a mezzanine. If you are a group of friend families to rent the house, each family can have its independence. The suites each have a different identity, revealing the attention to detail and the aesthetic taste of the owner who has carefully selected furniture and fittings: carefully chosen fabrics, matching colors and selected pieces of local handicrafts and antiques. Each suite can be rented individually.

Casanise

The B&B Casanise is located in the town of Narni, the ancient umbro-sabino Nequinum settlement conquered then, in the third century a. C. , by the Romans who changed the name in Narnia. The train station is located about 3 km from the old center; on the motorway A1 the exit Orte about 20 km while that of Magliano Sabina about 15 kilometers; the exit from the highway E7 about 3 kilometers; the airports of Fiumicino / Ciampino airport is about 90 km away, while Perugia is about 80 km. The city itself is crossed by the Flaminia consular road. The parking "Parcheggio del Suffragio", located in the Oliveto area, is connected to the ancient center via a rack system and elevators that lead to Via Roma, Via Belvedere and at the former convent of St. Augustine. After traveling via Garibaldi, already "dei Fondachi", an ancient Roman city thistle, and be passed by Priori square, home to the Palazzo del Podesta and the Palazzo dei Priori, thirty meters after the fourteenth-century fountain and taking the road that runs along the Romanesque church Santa Maria Impensole, you arrive at the B & B Casanise. Great location and helpful host

Reviewed By Natasha240

The host was fluent in English and very helpful. Our room was comfortable, and a tasty breakfast was served on a charming terrace. Breakfast included yogurt, warm pastries, bread, cheese, fruit, and beverages. To get upstairs to our room, we used a glass spiral staircase that I found a little awkward. The B&B is located in the historic old town, so it was walking distance to many sites and restaurants. However, parking was not close, so it could be challenging if you have a lot of luggage or mobility issues.
