Quite a nice experience
Reviewed By rach27912018Very well located, the annex is quite comfortable. Every one contributes fin a very nice experience. We traveled in April and the weather was quite hot. There are no fans nor cooling in the rooms, so we had to sleep with the windows to the corridor open. The cool breeze helped refresh the room although not everyone was comfortable knowing the windows were open. The only complaint would be that the curtains are quite thin, so the light from the corridor (which stayed on all night) can be a nuisance for those with light sleep. All said, it was a nice experience at an amazing price.

Reviewed By 01lopezWe stayed 6 nights. It was very clean and the internet was good enough for us to work online early in the morning. Everyday we came home to our room and it was clean and orderly. We booked the hotel on Booking.com and it was 450p per night.

Warm Stay in Magical Mineral
Reviewed By CaboSanLucasCocineraThere's a confusion--this town has two names. Real del Monte is the name given by the Spanish in the 1500s, Real indicating that it was property of the Spanish crown. Later on, for some reason, the name was officially changed to Mineral del Monte to reflect all the minerals taken from the mountain upon which this town nestles. Whatever you call it, it is truly of of Mexico's fabled Magic Towns, and a truly astounding chunk of Mexican history. You gotta go, and when you do, you gotta stay somewhere. That said, it would appear the people of Real/Mineral are neither hoteliers nor restauranteurs, though they do their wild west level best to accommodate your visit. This hotel has its high and low points--we spent one night in a suite with a big clawfoot bathrub, with adequate hot water to fill that sucker, as promised! Oboy! On the low side, the management seems inexperienced in making guests feel welcome and at home. It would cost little to put on a pot of coffee in their lovely lobby tv area, with, who knows? Maybe a cookie or two. The signs in the rooms exorting visitors NOT to steal the towels and iron their clothes on the wooden furnishings are, well, not terribly welcoming. It's very historic, very old wild west in feel, and the rooms with views can't lose, because you are in Mineral! Or Real, whatever. Which is definitely, most assuredly worth your visit. And you gotta stay somewhere! We cajoled the staff into providing two bottles of water for a two person room, which was a good thing, and they do provide good little space heaters to ward off the mountain chill. A little TLC would bump this up to a Very Good, possibly even an Excellent choice!

Reviewed By Jacob63MediGreat location, right in the center of town, located off a small walking corridor, so quite quiet and tranquil. The local vegetarian restaurant is right next door. The rooms are basic but comfortable and clean. The service is impeccable, the staff extremely helpful and friendly. The grounds are attractively planted. I felt very comfortable and well taken care of. Highly recommended.

Reviewed By travelmamanowWe stayed here on our way to Tolantongo. Very odd vibe. Rooms were clean, blank white walls, no hot water, beds fine but pillows were horrible- felt like they were made of straw and rocks. Really odd night, couldn't wait to get out of the town.

Bad hotel
Reviewed By Yei Andrei OThe town is so beautiful, have so many activities to have fun. But it's a shame for the hotel. Bad hotel, bad service and the personal has been so rude. Don't visit this hotel!! The manager is so arrogant and doesn't help to the guests.
