A real solace in high mountains

This hotel stands out clearly for its quality, and service. I was on a long trek with friends and found this accidently. Right next to go kyo lake and built with a lot of thought and application of mind. The facilities are much beyond what u would expect at 5000 meters. Very warm and cozy and service is outstanding. Pasang who runs it such a wonderful and helpful person too. Just for this hotel I would love to trek to gokyo again and spend a few days. A real luxury in a very tough and difficult place..

Amazing place to stay :)

This was the last accommodation of our EBC trek and we could not be happier with this choice =D The reviews made me choose these and now it is my time to make my review, as I am super pleased and it helped a lot. The Hikkers Inn Lukla is in the center of Lukla and it offers beautiful views of the mountain of every window. The best place to be is on the big balcony on the last floor close to the restaurant. A very tranquil place to relax and spend some time looking at the mountains while you take in all your trip. The accommodation is pretty modern and the room was big, with lots of natural light, beautiful, big windows and a private bathroom. Just perfect! The staff was also very nice to us. I was feeling bad at night due to my stomach and the lady working there came to me with a hot bag to put on my belly. It was so good! She also helped us a lot by changing the flight date to Lukla for an early date and she guided us to the airport itself just when she understood we really had a flight. Great place and great experience.

Luxury while trekking

Reviewed By Darragh O

If you are trekking to EBC this is the best place to stay. Rooms were $30 per night and I was happy to pay. Hot shower, toilet in the room and a heated blanket. Luxury for the EBC trek. I wish my trekking company used this place on the way up and down. I broke from my trek with a few mates to stay here. So well worth it!

Lama Hotel

Best hotel in Lukla

Reviewed By Hunter234

I stayed at the Lama Hotel in Lukla for a few days longer than planned due to being unable to fly out because of the weather. Lama and his family were so friendly and welcoming, helping to arrange alternative flights and guiding me to local landmarks. My room on the top floor had a fantastic view ( when the cloud lifted) and the bed was the most comfortable bed I've slept in since arriving in Nepal a month ago. I tried several items from the menu, everything was really good and there was a great selection of cakes to snack on with really nice coffee. Nothing seemed to be to much trouble even when the place was really busy and I felt very well looked after.

One of the finest hotels in Nepal. Wonderful hostess, beautiful and comfortable room and great food. Of all of the places I have stayed on my recent trip to Nepal this lodge, which means "fine" in Sherpa language was very comfortable and the service was some of the best I have experienced. Gorgeous bathroom. I even took a photo of it!

Really great experience!

Reviewed By Jiri R

We spent three nights in Zambala Halesi Resort in October 2019. The communication with the hotel was very good from the start (using e-mail but is possible also Whatsapp). They ordered us jeep from Bhaktapur to Halesi and then back to Patan and they booked us three rooms as we demanded. The jeep came just in precise time to our place in Bhaktapur and the driver took us safely and comfortably to Halesi. We were warmly welcomed by the staff. The rooms are clean, beds are comfy, bathroom and toilet are attached to the room. We had warm water every day, it just took one or two minutes of flowing to be really warm. There is TV and WiFi in each room. There is also daily room service. Hotel restaurant has enough places inside or a few places outside and there is also comfy lounge. Meals are really very good, the cook is apparently experienced professional and Nepali cuisine is definitely worth trying. The staff were extremely helpful with everything we needed, they were always polite and very attentive. If you need suggestions for your trips in and around Halesi, they willingly help you and even provide you a map and a guide from the staff, who goes with you and tells you about the places. The driver stayed on place for our needs and at the end he took us back to Patan. Communication in English with the staff was no problem. From the pictures at the hotel reception you can see that lot of guests from differerent countries stayed in Zambala Resort. Maratika Halesi is picturesque region, although the town itself is very small. You can visit lot of holy caves there, revered by both Buddhists and Hindus (e.g. Manjushri Cave is just in the hill behind Zambala Resort), and also beautiful countryside with tribal villages with people still living their centuries old rural style. Still not many western tourist there, mostly Nepalese and Indians. So if you want to visit quite, beautiful, not so touristy place a little bit off the beaten track, definitely try Halesi. Overall excellent experience as for the hotel, the staff and the interesting region.
