Reviewed By rohitb397Good hotel situated in Shillong city surrounded by the hills , the hotel rooms are situated at various area over 9 acres I stayed in valley facing rooms , Rooms were like a suite , with a very big hall and another bedroom attached to it The food at the restaurant was not good especially the chicken was found to be frozen and tough The breakfast was of good quality and changes everyday

Perfect Stay
Reviewed By NidhiGarg24This is a small boutique hotel located near Lady Hydari Park (walking distance). We stayed here in Month of May and our stay was more than we expected. Good ambience, good food and last but not the least the staff, praise worthy. There is a pear tree as you stepped out in the balcony and it really helps calms your senses. The room was big and spacious. They provide basic breakfast with limited options (bread butter, Poha) but it was all really delicious. They also offer dinner on request and trust me it was the best food we had in our entire journey. Since this is little far from Police bazaar , you will find it perfect place to unwind and enjoy the nature. Thank you Pear Tree for taking care of us.

Reviewed By fcukyouallkduThis review has been long due. I had seen the pictures online and the reviews were good. The reality is so far from the truth. Apparently, the pictures are taken with a wide-angle lens. - The room I stayed in was so tiny. The washroom sink was smaller than my head. - It had a fake balcony. All balconies are fake with painted iron rods outside the wall. - I moved from the tiny room to the suite. I stayed 7 days and not even a single day there was house cleaning(no changing sheets, towels, garbage) because they do not have any staff other than one receptionist - There is no in-house kitchen staff. Breakfast is contracted to an outside person who often arrived late. Bread and egg is all you get. = Here is the kicker part. The tiny single room cost Rs 2500 and the suite Rs 5000 per night!!!

Decent Stay
Reviewed By VickyChhedaIt is a budget homestay with spacious rooms. It has good parking space outside but rooms are quite ok. The heater was available but was not of good quality. All basic amenities were there that a homestay would have to offer. The only negative was they did not cook food for guests so we had to depend on outside food. Also, there is no power backup and there were couple of incidents of power outage, however it was back in sometime. The location of the homestay is really good. It is right in the center and very close to some of the famous attraction of Sohra.

New property but away from city centre
Reviewed By touristy28This is a fairly new property it seems and needs to work on some issues.The location is away from city centre and though it says view of pine trees from ones rooms its not there as the owners house and present ongoing construction in the adjacent plot block the view. Running of the property is a one man show by a person who is trying his best but still needs to be trained. For one there is no lift and lugging heavy luggage up 2 floors is not welcome .The room was modern but missed out on basic things like cupboard, multiple towels / clothes rack in the bathroom, intercom. The toiletries provided was harsh more like dettol handwash filled into the dispenser for body wash. Also tea , milk satchets were rationed out nor refilled unless one asked. We really had issue of hotwater in the bathroom running out on several occasions. The food quantity was highly priced and quantity meagre. One can hear the voices of the adjoining rooms even with the door and window closed.

Reviewed By alokk43We stayed here but the 3 bed room given to us was terrible. Bedsheets were smelly, no water pressure in the toilets, toilet shower pipe was burst. After insistence we moved over to 2 double bed room which had everything proper. The staircase to upper rooms was filthy. Best part was the view and the peacefulness there but with all other minuses how can one enjoy the beauty part..

Reviewed By Arko_ShineIt is the hostess of the homestay that makes this place so wonderful. A woman, who wanted us to address her as Lama, is warm, welcoming and makes the guest feel at home. The homestay is a little far from Sohra Bazaar area (which is around the RKM) - it lies somewhere on the way from Sohra Bazaar towards Nongriat. With no eateries or shops within almost a km of this homestay, the place is quite quiet! The rooms with attached bathrooms are fitted with Geyser, there is a television in the common seating area, there is also a pond within the compound. Two friendly dogs and flowers and trees all around the farm makes it worth a stay for a couple of days.

Reviewed By Amod28Nice stay option in good location. We wanted to avoid police bazar location. Hence stayed at woodland. Nice big clean room with garden n open air restaurant. Service staff is superb. Young boys n girls are managing the property. Really good experience although bit costly.
