Reviewed By gudo143Negative: bed and blanket synthetic (sweaty nights for me); obnoxious chemical smell of air-fresheners in room and hotel corridors; no staff at reception; sometimes long waiting times at lunch in restaurant; no cushions avaiable for the hard beach loungers; no parasols on the beach available that can be moved, so one has to stay under the fixed parasols by the hotel, in close proximity to the other guests; no ice-cream in the restaurant; no solo-travellers in hotel, mainly eldlerly Mexican and America couples; no grocery stores nearby; rec Positive: very beautiful, quiet sandy beach with coconut palm trees; yummy food in restaurant; small hotel; colourful walls in rooms

Reviewed By IlianaB527This is a very nice and clean boutique hotel in a prime location in Barra de Navidad. The rooms are very clean and they were cleaned daily with fresh towels. We had breakfast at the hotel a few times and everything was really good. Great bar service with amazing beach views. I recommend this hotel and I would stay here again.

Reviewed By 16jamesdocA shame to see one unfavourable review; my recent stay there couldn't be faulted. My room was large, comfortable and spotless in a quiet corner of the town. When I was there Carnival was being celebrated, sensibly a week after the the major ones in Mazatlan and elsewhere, but this hardly impacted on the surroundings and in fact was fun to watch. Mike and Lucero are excellent hosts; there's a different choice of breakfast each day. Good quality as well, and two types of coffee! Mike is a good conversationalist and with the other guests, breakfast can last a good hour. I have no regrets about staying here, except I forgot to teach Mike some rhyming slang as asked!

6 Weeks of Barradise
Reviewed By CaryKelThis fantastic little place was our home for 6 weeks while we continued our Barra de Navidad experience. Cate and her staff run a very clean and attentive operation. The location could not be more prefect, close to the ocean, downtown and the barrio. We would have stayed longer but we had a reservation at another property. The 2 resident dogs are very friendly and are characters! Thank you Cate for an excellent time.

Wonderful blissful holiday
Reviewed By Margaret TAfter a gruelling bus trip from Manzanillo (DO NOT ADVISE) the bus company told us the bus was first class turned out it was third. Bus driver tried to use his cell phone but we screamed at him to stop. Second driver never stopped eating or slurping coke and driving with one hand and clearly struggling to stay awake. We reported him. We were boarded 3 times by gun rough looking Mexicans hired by the local govt. to check passengers for guns because this road is notorious for robberies and drugs. Very unsettling. Winding road loud music long night. Dreadful!! Made up for it when we arrived at our beautiful authentic hacienda style Mexican hotel. High end. Our room was gorgeous complete with a bath tub and jacuzzi on the deck overlooking the pacific. Great beach, food was super good charming town a 10 min walk, friendly warm people, we spent 5 blissful days ( and nights) in Zihuatanejo. We will definitely be back next year but will sail down from Barra Navidad.

Peace at the beach
Reviewed By Terry ZOnce I spotted the white Adirondack chairs on the giant verandah from the beach I knew I wanted to stay there. This is an older hotel. Nice pool at the front of the courtyard, fantastic beach at the back. There is a shared kitchen with many stove tops available,a full sized fridge in your own room. There are nice tables and chairs to enjoy you meal on. The room I have is very basic. It does have both a fan and an air conditioner. Bed and pillows ok. Linens and towels pretty bad but not stained. Staff are very responsive. Not much English spoken but with my negligible Spanish everything was dealt with nicely.(I had some issues figuring out how things worked.) I would recommend this hotel for anyone seeking budget beachfront. Great location!

Tenía estructura para la tv y no tenía tv. No hubo caliente la regadera. Al solicitarle un cambio de habitación, muy amablemente dijeron que no había disponible..
