This place is absolutely perfect for one-night staying before your departure from Lomprayah Pier and after coming back to the pier.

The hotel is peaceful and quiet. Amazing villa in a peaceful location
Reviewed By SavvySubTravelsWe really enjoyed our stay at Villa Varich. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. They looked after us really well and accommodated our needs generously. The villa itself was amazing to stay at. The location was quiet and full of nature. There is a common area for dining and coffee. There is also a river behind the villas where you can enjoy kayaking, which is included in the price of the stay. You can borrow bikes to roam through the local areas, which is also included in the price. There are a few complimentary snacks when checking-in and they can be topped up whenever you need. The villa was cleaned by the staff really well on every day that we needed it. Overall this is a lovely getaway in a rural area where you will be alone with nature. We will definitely be visiting again soon.

Weirdly Unfriendly
Reviewed By donnythecatThe rooms were a bit stale but otherwise basic/fine/average. What was exceptional about this place was the inexplicably hostile customer service. We came during Songkran, so perhaps the receptionist would rather not be stuck at work, and the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic certainly heightens tensions. Maybe they were just having a bad day - who knows. Earlier in the evening of our stay, we called and spoke to the receptionist at Palm Sweet to inquire about a taxi, as we were stranded near the pier with no way of getting to the hotel (because despite having an airport/major pier, Chumphon does not yet have Grab/ride apps and taxis services are few and far between - getting around without your own transport is super difficult). The receptionist was completely disinterested in our situation and offered no help or suggestions whatsoever - just awkward silences on the phone. After several hours of calling various defunct taxi companies and then OTHER hotels, the friendly people at the Moonshine Resort were sympathetic to our plight and were able to hire us a driver (even though were were not staying with them). When we eventually arrived at the Palm Sweet, the receptionist refused to greet us or even look us in the face, instead he coldly took our passports and ordered us to fill out some forms. Another woman came in and was just as rude and unpleasant. Overall, we were made to feel extremely unwelcome. When they slid us a key across the counter without a word, we naturally asked where our room was located (as it was dark out and the complex is large and mazy). The woman sighed and muttered under her breath, “อะไร,อยากให้เราอุ้มไปด้วยเหรอ?”, a patronizing remark akin to “what, now you need me to hold your hand and walk you to the door?” Simply shocking behavior from people who work in hospitality and one of the most awkward hotel experiences in my four years in Thailand. Perhaps Thai patrons have had better experiences here, but between the lack of patience and respect towards customers/foreigners?, lack of English language ability, and their generally negative attitude, I highly recommend staying away from the Palm Sweet Resort.

Reviewed By WolfeeI like that there are plenty of parking lots. The hotel is less than 5mins walk to the main road where there are food stalls during the evening. The rooms are small but clean and comfortable. A small balcony and bottle opener in every room.

This is the hostel in garden house style surrounded by natural garden and light. It gives you cozy and warm feeling with white, soft blue and light brown color decoration. The hostel is located in Chumphon downtown, 2 kilos from Chumphon market, shopping malls, restaurants and cafes. 20 minutes drive to Cabana Beach and Saiiree Beach. You will enjoy and experience local tourism. You're welcome :)
Excellent stay

The lady who own this house was extremly sweet and accomodating during my entire day use waiting for the sleeping train to Bangkok. All staff were equally nice. The owner arranged a motorbike for me to use in the most casual way and requested no money for the transfer to the train station (for which I had to insist paying) The rooms are what I would call simple clean and inexpensive. The house is surrounded by a tropical "forest", not far from the city Good soul ! I would defenitly come back

stop off before you hit koh tao
Reviewed By WoodyTravels1The owners were friendly and helpful. You can book your boat tickets to the islands from here. The bus picks you up from here which takes about 10 mins. The twin room was clean and spacious with a tv which had a music channel. The provided us with towels for 500bhat a night. It is good for a 1 night stopover. Just opposite there is a restaurant which do pretty good thai food.

Simple, comfortable, convenient and dog-friendly
Reviewed By polarity_bearWe stayed here on our way to/from Bangkok to Koh Samui. We booked one of the cabins with a kitchenette overlooking the lotus ponds. The accommodation is simple, but it was clean and comfortable and the location was ideal to break the journey.
