Reviewed By vern drooms are large, new,clean; beds the same, mine, 2 nights was king size; my room had 8 lights; high grade appliances all around; breakfast is above average; from 7:30 to 10; parking in front and in back of the hotel (the place feels like a hotel, at the same time, the best of a guesthouse; 4 parking spaces in back of the hotel; gregarous helpful owner, she used to live in the usa; the new building is beautifully architected; they have everything covered and then some; location is quite good, can walk, 10 minutes to city center; mekong river is right across the street , 4 restaurants there on the river

Celle ci est grande, dotée d'une literie inconfortable, une des pires sur un mois de séjour. TV et petit frigo. Douche, malheureusement pas d'eau chaude...WiFi correct. Nuitée plutôt calme. La nuitée de 25euros comprenait le petit déjeuner. Celui ci est devenu rapidement désagréable car vous êtes entouré de groupe de chinois, ça crie, ça hurle, c'est sale, bref l'appétit est coupé. J'ai prit de quoi manger dans la chambre. À ce prix là,ne pas pouvoir profiter pleinement du petit déjeuner est une responsabilité de l'établissement. Bref, un rapport qualité prix médiocre et je ne recommande pas l'établissement.

Convenient for Golden Triangle and Laos

It's location is comfortably distant from the more touristy area of the Golden Triangle but easily accessible to the Opium Museum and boats across to Laos. Sadly on our last visit, Laos had closed its borders due to Covid-19. The Serene has seen better days, just needs some TLC but the rooms are more than adequate, beds comfortable, shower adequate and if you don't have a view of the Maekong River, you can ask at the very helpful Reception. The breakfast was a choice of Asian and Western food, nothing special but freshly cooked and more than adequate. Would we stay there again? Yes, based on previous visits, we don't intend reinventing the wheel.

Rénovées récemment, elles sont très modernes et design (avec Netflix !). Le petit déjeuner est servi dans la chambre. Communication par email et messenger facile avec le manager ! Rapport qualité prix imbattable pour le coin ! A recommander

Pris à leurs propre piège

Alors les chambres singles à 250 bath sont full mais on me propose une chambre bien mieux car celles a 250 sont très petites avec un petit lit et une salle de bain partagé dixit le boss. 400 bath, je refuse mais on insiste en me disant que la chambre a 400 bath c'est habituellement 500 bath. Le patron très arrangeant me dis que je peux laisser mon sac la mais que je ne trouverai pas moins cher ailleurs... J'ai trouvé un GH à 220 bath face au Mékong. De retour pour récupérer mon sac le patron est vert de voir que j'ai trouvé une super GH. Subitement il me dégote une grande chambre avec grand lit pour 250 bath. A vouloir trop prendre, il a tout perdu !

We pride ourselves on how our hotel embraces true Thai tradition as a family-owned business which prioritises an authentic experience for all our guests.
Unique Hotel But Disappointing and Overpriced
Reviewed By 396theeWe booked this place because of the impressive reviews online. However, I was a bit disappointed when we actually checked in. Below is my rundown. The Good: The food is healthy and delicious. The hotel's design is wood-themed which makes things interesting if you want to get in tune with nature/meditation and all that. I can tell the hotel invested heavily in quality of the building and furniture. The lower-level staff (cleaners, waitress, security, etc.) were superb as usual in Thailand. The Bad: Finding the hotel is confusing even when using Google Maps and it doesn't help that there is next to no signage to assist with locating the hotel. The managerial staff seemed aloof, distant, and apathetic - not what you expect at Thai standards. The room's aesthetics were great if you like wood but the room was NOT functional - examples abound but essentially, the design did NOT allow good and efficient organization and placement of your things. Summary: This place is great for a single traveler or couples with minimal luggage - not great for families with kids. We paid about $200 per night for our room and it was definitely NOT worth it at that price point, which is why this review leans toward the negative. In my view, the reviews online do NOT accurately review this hotel.

No clue at all!
Reviewed By Mia VI was hesitant to write this review as it is a negative feedback however, I am doing this not for the property but for my fellow travelers to know the experience of others. It was the arrival experience that was really uhhhh ohhhhh...... The lady was helpful and friendly but......as I settled my stuff i wanted to use the bathroom and there was no bathroom tissue. I have to go out and call the lady to request for it. When I got the bathroom tissue, I went to the toilet and as I lifted the toilet seat cover......drops of dried urine were on the toilet seat, it was a shock to be greeted with this scenario, so I went out of the room and I called the lady again, she called the housekeeping girl. I watched how she cleans it, it was poured with soap and water and the toilet brush was also used to clean the toilet seat. During my stay, i have to put tissue on top of it whenever I need to use the toilet. This is one of the worst experience for a guest, especially the arrival experience, had the feeling that everything in the room is dirty and I had no peace at all unfortunately. I think the management has no clue of hospitality and how to play in this industry.

Reviewed By 敏敏乐儿老板和服务员都很热情，还有自产牛奶给我们喝，早餐有西式的面包鸡蛋水果牛奶咖啡和中式肉粥一起上，房间很干净，脱鞋放在门外（我们不知道没脱）四周非常静谧，空气很清新，远离尘嚣，一幢幢小别墅，老板很用心地设计。
