Belfast is only 1 hr drive and 50 mins to Derry. The experience staying at Cullentra House is certainly equivalent to any 4* or 5* hotel that we have stayed in .The reviews and awards they have received say it all .. it is an absolutely fabulous B & B and I would 100% recommend it to any tourists planning to visit the Causeway Coast & the Glens of Antrim. Olive & James are impeccable hosts and attention to detail is there to be seen .. the place is spotlessly clean and tidy , the rooms were very comfortable and finished to a very high standard .. free view television and excellent wi fi . The dining room settings were outstanding and would grace any fine dining restaurant. The breakfast menu had a very extensive choice .. plus Olives amazing homemade cake and scones .. we opted for the Ulster fry and it was absolutely delicious and very generous portions . From the garden we had a beautiful view of Cushendall Bay & the surrounding countryside .. we certainly look forward to staying again on our next visit to the Glens

Reviewed By 824chachaDon't know where to even start with this one Room was an absolute disgrace unbelievably basic and small for nearly £300 for one night Dinner both had steak which was full of fat and hard to chew Breakfast was served molded raspberries Partner was been sick since dinner lastnight and still sick all morning as I write this review in my over priced tiny room which looks nothing like the rooms in the pictures on the website, Completely disgusted tried to contact management but had to leave my number which no doubt will be ignored, really really bad experience all round.

Antrim House commands a central position in Portrush, with private off street parking. A large Victorian building it has retained a lot of its original features with larger than normal rooms and high ceilings. We will try to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Within walking distance to the Royal Portrush Golf Club and a large selection of first class restaurants and wine bars.

Reviewed By KarenI650Stayed just for one night but was so tempted to stay for a second!!! We were given a choice of room in their new modern building. Decided to take up the free upgrade. It was just wonderful! Some tweaks still needed - struggled to get electric blind to work, bath mat didn’t fit under shower door and no where to hang a second wet towel but minor complaints in what is a wonderful suite! My only real advice would be to improve pictures. Many pictures look really old fashioned when in fact in the main building it isn’t old fashioned just old and beautiful!! I almost didn’t book it because of the pictures and that would have been a huge mistake!!! Wonderful breakfast delivered to our room the next morning though could have eaten in dining room.

Clean, New, and Very Nice

Not a quaint place, and no view (it's on the main highway through town), but more like a spanking clean, fully refurbished motel you sometimes see in the U. S. We appreciated all the outlets, the ample desk, and the small refrig for our berries and milk. The King-sized bed was adequately firm, new-seeming, and comfortable. Shower water was too hot and couldn't seem to be made cooler. That would be the only ding, no big deal. We just missed breakfast, but the staff were gracious and brought out a very nice meal for us. Everyone could not have been nicer, nor this lodging more perfect for busy, tired travelers.

Disappointing return visit
Reviewed By KellypfStayed in this B&B last year and delighted with room at that time but the difference a room can make to your experience. This time stayed in rm 6 with friend . Had asked for twin beds as we did not want to share . Got large double bed and a small cot size bed . Room was very old , unkept, wallpaper coming off , dirty corners , a lot of cobwebs ( not new ones) and the bathroom is well unfit for purpose. Its disappointing for me to write this review as staff are really friendly and it is a good location . The room needs stripped and completely redecorated and a new bathroom. It may be cheaper than a hotel however rooms need to be at least fit for purpose . Once this is sorted will def be a good place to stay as they have everything else right.

Beautiful ocean views
Reviewed By MartinR402Our stay at Carnside was perfect! The location was very convenient for our visit to Giant's Causeway, which is a quick easy walk. Upon arrival, we asked about dining options nearby, and immediately Ann made a call to the nearby Bushfoot Golf Club, to see if they had room for us that evening, and suggested we make the 40 minute walk along the oceanside path and return via taxi. The rooms are lovely and clean, with all the amenities you may need, and we had the bonus of a view of the neighbouring seaside towns directly from our bed. The breakfast was delicious and a great start to our busy day! Be sure to book an hour in the hot tubs, at sunset if you can, the view over the ocean is unbelievable! If we ever are lucky enough to visit Northern Ireland again, we will absolutely stay at Carnside! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

California Lodge is family run Bed & Breakfast. Ideally situated to explore the lovely North Coast, 7 Miles from Giants Causeway, 8 miles from Carrick Rede Rope bridge and Dunluce Castle, and 10 miles the world famous Bushmills Distillery. 1/2 mile to the beach, 1.5 miles from Portstewart Championship golf course and only 3.5 from Portrush.. A full service supermarket, and Bistro are located just across the street. Also we are .7 miles from Portstewart town with a load of restaurants and bars. California Lodge has 8 en-suite rooms all equipped with tea/coffee making facilities, Tv, hairdryer, toiletries etc. There is tons of free private on site parking. Look forward to seeing you.
A night on the North coast
Reviewed By daisykinsStayed for one night in a family room, double bed and bunks, the lower being a double bed. Room very clean and comfortable, great amenity tray. Every thing that we needed, and dog friendly. Breakfast was brilliant and Abbie the manger was very friendly. It does what it says on the sign, "An Amazing B&B". Will be back.

Our boutique style Bed and Breakfast is situated 3 minutes from our championship links golf course, (soon to host the Irish Open) and the famous Harry's Shack Restaurant . Strand House is also home to a glorious beach and interesting and varied walks. Guests can enjoy our delicious home-made breakfast with locally sourced produce and all dietary requirements are catered for. Our speciality homemade Guinness bread is just an example of our commitment to using local produce. All our bedrooms are spacious with king sized beds, most have sea views, controlled underfloor heating, ensuite bathrooms and some with Jacuzzi baths. We are centrally located for championship golf courses in Portstewart, Castlerock, Portrush and Ballyliffen and have storage and drying facilities in a secure purpose built facility.
Exceptional place to stay, amazing breakfast
Reviewed By fionnghualam2017We stayed that the Strand House when visiting family in Portstewart, we were very fortunate to have been given a gift voucher as a wedding present for a stay. I would highly recommend Strand House in every way. Tom and Ernestine were both extremely welcoming, warm and clearly are both passionate about offering outstanding hospitality. The room was top quality, the breakfast was amongst the best I have ever had, we are both vegetarian, nothing was too much trouble, the freshly squeezed orange juice was a lovely touch and the crepes were outstanding. The location of Strand House is excellent, located just a few minutes from Portstewart Strand. Our thanks to Tom and Ernestine again for our wonderful stay.
