Reviewed By FidaIsmailCleanliness is excellent from bed linens to bathroom, fresh towels and the whole hotel. Water pressure was good! Eating outlets just out of the lift. Friendly service from Sam and Zaid, thank you for a lovely stay.

Budget Hotel in need of MAJOR Improvement
Reviewed By PerseusIIUpon entering the room, I was immediately greeted with a strange odour. The first thing that dawned on me was that I had picked a hotel that truly screamed BUDGET in almost every sense. The Superior Room, despite being 'superior' was small enough, yet not unlike the size of hotel rooms commonly found in Japan. I was fine with this, but from my experience every hotel room in Malaysia at this price range has been an improvement in this respect. There was no covered wardrobe, but I was fine with this. It was somewhat unusual for me to find a manhole smack in the middle of the room. A folding door with what I thought were loud flowery patterns leads into the bathroom. The floor tiles were also an acquired taste. Inside, the sink albeit being small was functional enough, but the pipes below were visibly showing brownish stains. The bed looked comfortable enough and seemed like a redeeming feature. But as I lay down, I was shocked to find a cockroach hiding under the pillows. After killing it, I asked the hotel staff to change the pillows for me which to their credit, they did with minimal fuss. All was well until the next morning, when I found…yet ANOTHER cockroach scurrying about in my room. I wonder how many more were hiding in the room?! The next morning, my business associate who spent the night in a separate room informed me that her bathroom had a leaky sink which reeked of a foul odour while another colleague had a blocked manhole in the bathroom. At this price range in Malaysia, I would not come back to Apple 1. Actually, I wouldn’t come back. Period.

All rooms come with private bathroom, LED TV with satellite channels, air-con, free wifi.

Reviewed By DhennverNgThe photos looked good. But the rooms are very basic and they take very little effort to impress. Generally clean. You would need to pay for parking around the area unless you park overnight. No escalator or lift, so if you have challenge walking up stairs, please reconsider. The only reason I chose this hotel was that it was convenient for me to exit into the penang bridge in the morning without going through the town traffic.

I think the price is too high for what you get, it is only a good choice because of its convenient location (airport). I didn't see the other rooms, maybe the bigger ones with window are better.

Reviewed By AAJ_68I'm very disappointed with the cleanliness of this property. I check in on Saturday afternoon nearly 4pm. I was so surprised the moment i step into the unit i can smell a strong stink urine smell from the bathroom. The small cushion was not properly arranged, coffee table so dirty. I was so excited to see the bedroom which in on the upper deck. Again i was shocked to see the bed looks like someone already sitting on it. And when i open the wardrobe i can see a pair of men clothes hanging inside there. I try to contact the person in charge but cannot get through because they only provide me with the office number not mobile number n the office already closed I ran down to find someone who can assist me luckily the security guard on duty very helpful he then gave me the contact number of the CLEANER. Finally the CLEANER came n clean the room. Without wearing a mask or gloves. and they did not sanitised my room. What is the SOP here? I really don't understand how can they release the room for guest to check in without checking the room first? There is no hangers, iron & board or hairdryer provided. I will definitely won't come back or recommend this place to my friends
