Service was amazing and they couldn’t do enough for us. The added extras like the coffee machine, beach towels and local advise made this stay even better. Will be recommending to our friends and family travelling later this year!

Reviewed By cherylsP6585SYThe Sand Suites are some of the most beautifully furnished, stylish and comfortable suites we have ever stayed in. We booked the Loft Suite, which is set over 2 floors with 2 balconies, one with an outdoor plunge pool, and the other with bean bags to lounge on. There is a kitchenette with a toaster, kettle, Nespresso machine, microwave, fridge and cooker hob. There's a wide-screen TV, aircon and a beautiful bathroom with a walk in shower. The rooms are cleaned everyday and there are complimentary toiletries, bathrobes and slippers. We arrived in the early hours of the morning and Lydia was there to meet us. Lydia cannot do enough to help you and is so polite and friendly. She showed us to our room and made sure we had everything we needed before she left. We really appreciated the snack and water left for us in the room. Breakfast is delivered to your suite every day at a time chosen by you (anytime before 10.30am) and it is delicious! Made with fresh produce and something different to try everday - we loved waking up and having our breakfast together on the balcony. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to a suite with an indoor hydro massage tub, which blew us away! The panoramic views overlooking the beach were breath taking. The room comes with an indoor whirlpool, and large lounge area. There are wide-screen TVs in the lounge and bedroom. The suite is so tastefully decorated and has 3 aircon units to keep you cool! Yiannis (the owner) is fabulous! Helpful, friendly and made sure we were looked after throughout our stay. We have already booked again for next year (suite with private pool) and would reccomended The Sand Suites to anyone looking for luxury accommodation in Crete. Tips: Don't book a coach transfer, they take almost 3 hours. The BlueRiver Beach bar next door has a large shared swimming pool and serves good food. The walk into Agios Nikolaos is around 20 minutes via the beach. There are various water sports available on the beach (jet skis, pedalo, banana boat etc). You can book massages (in suite) using a QR code.

I don’t really understand the complaints about the rooms being small, we found them very spacious and had a pretty large patio. There’s also a kiosk down the road where we could get some goodies. The beach is also right down a set of stairs. Wonderful wonderful wonderful.

Most of it is outdated or damage / broke. For a couple of days it's fine Also because of the help from Maria and Micheal. If they weren't there I would give lower stars. The owners need to step up their game and fix things. If that is done than the location, the personal and the appartements will be perfect !
