Lasithi (Greek: Λασίθι) is the easternmost regional unit on the island of Crete, to the east of Heraklion. Its capital is Agios Nikolaos, the other major towns being Ierapetra, Sitia and Neapoli. The mountains include the Dikti in the west and the Thrypti in the east. The Sea of Crete lies to the north and the Libyan Sea to the south.

Definitely worth the long drive Xerokampos is not a single beach but rather a series of beaches for every taste. We ended up at the large organised beach that was accessible and very friendly for kids. Clear shallow water and sandy beaches were perfect for the little ones.

we don't know Paradise but we have been at Erimoupolis and we think that could be better. The two beaches are so clean and water is wonderful, in the smaller one the sand is soft and the near ruins are very interesting, If you go to Vai I suggest to spend some other time in Erimoupolis that is very close to the famous Palm Beach.

We have been coming to Crete for the past 15 years and we traveled all around the island until...we found Agios Nikolaos and Ammoudi Beach. We fell in love with the place. Apart from the amazing scenery, we were attracted by the water sports activities. Amoudi Water Sports is run by the nicest family and it is because of them that we keep coming back. They made our holidays a wonderful experience making us feel like we are part of the family. Every year we have a lot of fun riding the sofa or using the jetski, kayak or SUP. All these are and were done with complete compliance with the rules and regulations. Nikos and Manos are always alert and keeping an eye on what is happening on the beach and we always felt safe there, especially this year!

I visited Crete for the first time this year. The purpose of my visit was to attend my sisters wedding. We stayed in a superb Airbnb in Limassol which was a few miles from We visited MakryGialos almost daily. The service around the tavernas were so welcoming, exceptionally clean and the food was good value for beach snacks and lunches. Dimitri was a perfect host. The beach was beautiful, the waters clear and shallow. Perfect place for family with small children or non swimmers who could happily float comfortably. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and will definitely visit again.

Had a lovely day here,toilet cafe and water sports available,there's a river that flows into ocean on right hand end and the water is like ice????,however come away from that and the water is warm,beach is clean and not over crowded,we went by car so not sure of any buses, it really is beautiful, would love to go back and would highly recommend ❤????????????

Koutsounari beach did not disappoint. The water was crystal clear and refreshing, the sand beautiful and it is a very quiet beach. Highly recommended.
