Visited a few times now, the most incredible beach with the most fantastic snorkelling, forget the organised trips and just swim out to see the turtles in their own environment, very little tide to think about and crystal clear water. We were lucky enough to see a Stingray out there too this year, amazing.

Bathsheba is a must visit to see the Atlantic side of Barbadios...where there are very different scenic views...lots of hills and rock formations..its a well kept secret ,,,,But the beaches are covered with sargasso seaweed which inhibit you from really enjoying a swim..and the smell of the washed up seaweed is noxious!!!

Lovely beach, there are some choral and small rocks between the sand and the water so be careful where you step! Its quiet, no amenities but you only need to wander to Mullins beach for refreshments etc.

We stayed in worthing for two weeks on our honeymoon, and we visited this beach a lot. It has it all: clean, white sand, turquise warm waters with a lot of fun waves, lots of beach chairs and umbrellas for the fair price of 30 Barbados Dollars for a day, and toilet/bath facilities. There is also a lifeguard tower watching the beach at all times. In the area, there are lots of great places to eat, snack and get some icecream. We went to some different beaches on our trip to Barbados - this was the best of them!

This one of Barbados' hidden treasures. On the south eastern tip of the island ,nestled under the bluffs facing the bracing atlanric breezes Bottom Bay is ideal for nature lovers ,lovers in general or those who want to get away from the cruise ship crowds. Its beauty is breathtaking and no , the pictures do not do it justice. You can get there by public transportation Bds.$3.50 is all you pay on the #10 Bayfield bus minibus both running from main terminals in the capital Bridgetown.The drive is about 45 mins and travels along Highway 5 through the Parishes of St.Michael and St.Philip. You will know you are near when you begin to see the ocean on the horizon to you right.Drivers and passengers are very friendly and everyone knows Bottom Bay they will even tell you how to get the bus back. From the bus stop you just walk down the hill through a quiet little hamlet and the road ends on the cliff above the beach.If you are driving its easiest to Use Google Maps to get the best directions from your location It is safe to park your car in the open space but dont be silly and leave valuables exposed.There will be a couple locals selling coconut water conch shells and some local craft ,they also will make sure you are safe.Limited chairs and umbrellas are available on the beach for rent but there is enough shade and open area for you to just do it old school and spread out your towel on the sand. Go on get out there away from the madding crowds and explore Bottom Bay!!!

In our opinion the best beach on the island, one that gives you options???? The calm side is great for a long warm bath where you can relax, swim and even talk with other bathers, many returnees amidst the throng of locals. We usually did it in 2-hours stints before towelling down- my partner has rheumatoid arthritis so this is also therapy time for her having been assisted in, as well as, out of the water. After the water it is time to chill on a chair or bench, soaking in the rays and reading a book. Hunger and thirst are sated via a walk into Oistins for a roti from Chefette, KFC, food from a street van or one of the Oistins cafes. Make the effort and take the plunge.

Definitely spend time at this beach - it is beautiful and has amazing coral reefs bursting with the most stunning fish to swim with. There is a great tour out to the turtles and to several shipwrecks that can be picked up on the beach three times a day (by Tamarind hotel) - look for 'Rod da man under da hat'. You can also rent jet skis from him and his colleague Peter which I highly recommend as the experience is amazing - it's so exhilarating. These guys are wonderful and the divers that come with you are seriously skilled and knowledgeable - they will take excellent care of you and even give you free underwater pictures of you and the fish!
