The Priory Menswear, Bar & Cafe

Priory has currently achieved 5 years of business with two shops open now, with the original store located on Manor St. and the newer shop located at Victoria Mill. With two shops at disposal, Priory have divided their contents as the Manor St. shop consists of streetwear, skatewear and novelty accessories, whereas the Mill contains premium menswear and accessories. Since the opening of the second shop in 2014, Priory has developed a refined ambience that is accentuated with the company of a barbers and a bar/coffee shop in the same vicinity of Victoria Mill - providing a well needed combination that hasn’t been seen before.

With Linda114 fed up of looking for coffee shop and on way back to car park when we spotted this place. Absolutely fabulous. Four adults 3 Briards (a little wet as well) and not a complaint from the staff. Welcomed in and very well looked after both the hoomans and the dogs. Fabulous place and we will return whenever in Brid. Really appreciated the welcome when most other places were shut. You must pay it a visit, a licensed bar as well as coffee and cakes, a hairdressers and a clothes shop. Deserves every great review it gets..

A good variation of beers with a rotation of guest beers, well kept and presented, and at a reasonable price. Other drinks obviously available but we only drink beer. A comfortable little pub, very well kept, and with a touch of history showing some of Goole's shipping heritage. We would recommend to family and friends. Handy for the railway station and a bus service.

Great pub with great food. Staying in the area for a few nights and thought we’d try the Black Swan. Very welcoming and very safe in the current climate. Dog friendly so our whippet enjoyed the trip and got to meet Ernie! The steak and ale pie was excellent and I would definitely have it again. Good value.

Sunday roast during lockdown was amazing. With all safety precautions in place we entered the pub, where we were offered pork or beef or both, plus Yorkshire puddings, roast potatoes and an array of vegetables, plus gravy, all for £7.95. We took it home and ate the most fabulous roast, the meat melted in your mouth, the gravy was divine, the veggies were fabulous. I cannot fault this.

The Duke Of Cumberland

We are staying close to Cottingham with friends (girlie weekend away) and found the pub on TA. Booked without an issue track and track and social distancing well thought out. Staff very attentive, food home made and plentiful. Would definitely recommend to anyone. We shared a platter between us and then had a main course each (chicken parmigiana) the food was beautifully presented and with sizeable portions, we were stuffed after 2 courses but still managed to fit in desert. If you in the area please don’t drive by you’ll miss out
